Issue with Refund Tracker on the mobile app (edited)

I RARELY use the Awaiting Refund feature in Simplifi although I like knowing it is there! Someone paid me back. The amount of the refund owed was $35.91 but the actual refund was $36.00 - they only had cash. When everything linked up in Simplifi, I found that (A) the original, normal looking transaction had been replaced by the receipt looking thing below and (B) I couldn't upload a picture of the receipt on mobile. When I logged into the transaction on the web, I found a way to upload an attachment so I attached it there. Is this normal?

@Flopbot, thanks for bringing this to our attention!
It appears that the issue is that the transaction itself becomes a refund as soon as it's linked, so you are no longer able to access the Transaction Detail modal to add the attachment or make any other changes. When testing this from our end, we are wondering if you're on Android or iOS?
Please let us know so we can best assist!

@Flopbot, we went ahead and reported the issue with the transaction becoming a refund once linked, and will post back here with updates.
Thanks!

@Flopbot, a fix for the issue we reported can be expected with the 5.4.0 Mobile Release. Let us know if things work properly for you after that time.
Thanks!

@Flopbot, it looks like this was a little harder to tackle than originally anticipated, as they removed the fix version from the ticket. I'll keep you posted with any new updates.
Thanks!

When a refund is entered into the refund tracker, a user is unable to split a transaction. I recognize that this is standard and is in line with being unable to split recurring transactions. I look forward to the day when that is fixed.
I have realized that using the refund tracker, if you link the refund to the transaction in the ledger afterword you are unable to edit the transaction. So unlike the recurring transactions where you can edit the transaction after the fact and add a split, refunds linked to a refund in refund tracker are unable to have a split added. It would be nice to be able to at least add a split after the fact or where possible, add the split to the pending refund.

@TiggerTrainer, thanks for bringing this to our attention!
To clarify, are you using the Quicken Simplifi Mobile App? If so, there is an issue where the transaction becomes a refund once linked, rather than remaining a regular transaction that can be edited (such as adding splits), and the issue is only present on the Mobile App —
Please let us know if this is the case!

For me I encountered it on both the mobile app and in the browser.

@TiggerTrainer, thanks for the reply!
Is the issue described in the thread I linked above what you're seeing? If so, is it the same on the Mobile and Web Apps? I'm not personally seeing an issue with editing or splitting a Refund Tracker transaction on either the Web or Mobile Apps. Can you provide some screenshots of what you're seeing, please?

@Flopbot, are you still seeing this issue on the Mobile App? I'm no longer seeing it myself, so wanted to check in.
Thanks!

Sorry I needed to get home from work. I apologize for any confusion. The problem is isolated to the mobile app as you described. Thank you for your patience.

I'm not sure I'll be able to recreate this. I'm sorry. I almost never (maybe once a year) use the refund tracker in Simplifi. Its not that I don't like it, I just don't have the need. I did find the original transaction and noticed that it shows this. Note that I don't see an obvious. way to add/delete an attachment on mobile.

@Flopbot, no worries! I'm guessing the issue is still ongoing now that another user is reporting it.
@TiggerTrainer, thanks for confirming! I have merged your thread here so you can follow along for updates.
We appreciate you both letting us know about this!

@Flopbot & @TiggerTrainer, hello!
I'm going through old escalations and I see that the ticket for this issue is still open. Are you still seeing this issue with linked refund transactions on the Quicken Simplifi Mobile App? If so, I'd like to give the tickets a bump.
Let us know!

Sorry, @Coach Natalie ,
I haven’t found myself using the refund tracker in many, many months. If I duplicate the problem someday, I can reply to this post. Till then, I’d consider this solved till we can prove you otherwise.
