Remove Business from Space or Fresh Restart
In this post, it talks about deleting a Simplifi dataset so that I could start over from scratch.
What I am actually trying to do is to completely delete my business accounts from my personal "Space" and ONLY have them show up in a separate business "Space". All the business stuff and business categories are just making entering personal finances too cluttered and my wife is NOT a fan.
Is there a better way to completely remove all the business account information from one "Space"?
Or, do I just need to completely start over?

Hello @R C,
Thanks for reaching out! If you would like, we can, of course, delete your Quicken Simplifi dataset so that you can start over, but in this case, since all you want is to delete your Business accounts, I would suggest doing exactly that. You can delete any account you do not want in your dataset by navigating to Settings > Accounts, and then selecting Delete Institution if you want an entire institution gone, or Delete account if you want individual accounts gone.
I hope this helps!

I am trying to get it so ONLY the personal categories and information show up in the primary space so my wife does not need to deal with the business stuff. Right now all the business information shows up before the personal.
Basically I want a space that is ONLY personal and another that has business information.
It does not seem like just removing the links to business bank accounts is going to achieve that.

Thank you for your reply,
If you already have your business information set up in the existing Space you have set up, have you considered creating a new Space and setting up just the personal accounts there? For information on creating a new space, see this article:
Once you have a space that is personal only, you'd be able to share that space with your wife. For information on sharing a space, please review this article:
I hope this helps!

I understand that you would like to get rid of the business-related Categories in your personal Space so that they will not complicate the interface and be confusing to the user.
I did an experiment by deleting an unused Business Category in my personal Space. When I went to my business Space I found that the category was still there. I only did one test, so I'm not 100% confident of how this works. But you might be able to get rid of most** of the Business Categories in your personal Space without losing the ability to use them in the business Space.
Perhaps a coach can confirm that the Category lists in each space are independent of one another.
(**Others have pointed out that some of the Business Categories cannot be deleted.)
