The portfolio Tab of the Investment does not get updated for certain Holdings
I’ve been experiencing this issue persistently with my T. Rowe Price retirement account for several months now. Although I had raised this earlier, the problem remains unresolved. As of now, the T. Rowe 401(k) account is no longer connectable. I’ve disconnected it and will attempt to reconnect once the issue is resolved. I am already following the currently open issue related to this.
In addition, I’ve recently encountered this issue with my Fidelity brokerage account over the past month. The holding associated with the symbol SPAXX shows a fixed, outdated value that does not update upon refresh. Unfortunately, I am unable to manually correct this, as the "Edit Holdings" option doesn’t allow changes to the value. I even tried deleting and re-adding the record, but the system continues to reflect the same incorrect old amount even on the newly created entry.
Please either enable a way for users to manually update such values or fix this issue once and for all. It is a lingering old issue that leads to incorrect investment value in the portfolio tab of the investment. Also, escalate this as a bug to the technical team for resolution. As a paying customer, I expect accurate investment data and reliable functionality. Continued discrepancies like this are unacceptable for a subscription-based service.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Hello @SudipChoudhury,
Thanks for reaching out! To clarify your issue with Fidelity, one of your holdings is showing an incorrect value that does not seem to refresh within Quicken Simplifi, correct? Can you please provide the following information to better assist us with troubleshooting this issue?
- The name of the account, as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
- The balance for the account in the Accounts List in Quicken Simplifi (this is the list of all accounts and balances on the left side of the Dashboard on the Quicken Simplifi Web App, or the list of all of your accounts when you select "Accounts" from the Quicken Simplifi Mobile App).
- The balance for the account in the Investments Portfolio in Quicken Simplifi (if you have multiple investment accounts, you'll want to filter the page to just this account).
- The balance for the account as displayed on the bank's website.
- A screenshot of the holdings for the account in Quicken Simplifi (if you have multiple investment accounts, you'll want to filter the page to just this account).
- A screenshot of the holdings on the bank's website for a comparison.

I'm having what I suspect is the same problem for my Fidelity 401k account. The balances tab has a "current balance" which matches what Fidelity states on their website, however the portfolio tab's "Market Value" is wrong. This value is the sum of the value of the individual holdings for the count … but those do not reflect a rebalance action that occurred back on May 20th of this year, so the value is off.
If I look at the "Fidelity-Investments & Retirement" account entry in Simplifi's settings, it helpfully tells me that it last updated an hour ago in green text, which I assume means that Simplifi thinks the update worked, though it obviously didn't quite get all the information.
I tried disconnecting (switching to manual) and reconnecting, but that didn't change the situation. In general, the "Investments" section is important and I haven't noticed any issues with my Vanguard and ADP accounts — but Fidelity is definitely not working.
I would honestly rather be given an error message in Simplifi saying "sorry, we aren't quite ready to show investments for Fidelity accounts" or perhaps "sorry, we are working through issues connecting with Fidelity accounts" then to have incorrect information reported as being up-to-date and accurate. That is, well, very concerning and makes me worry that I can't trust any data Simplifi claims to have retrieved … which kinda defeats the point of Simplifi, doesn't it?

Hello @byrds,
Thanks for reaching out! We have a great support article here that describes how investment balances in Quicken Simplifi update, and why you might see a difference in balance between the Accounts List and the Investments tab:
We also have this idea post you can vote for, which is requesting that investment balances are more consistent across the application.
