Yes, making Net Worth less prominent is crucial. Please at least remove Net Worth from the top of the Transactions page on the web version. I don't need to see my total net worth pinned in large bold font when I'm reviewing some transactions!

Alternatives to completely removing Net Worth:

    1. Ability to toggle Net Worth display on/off like OP request
    2. Add a per-account setting to allow users to specify which account balances contribute to the displayed Net Worth. This would allow, for example, only including checking accounts and not investment accounts.

+1 for this, pretty surprised it doesn't exist already.

Agree wholeheartedly with request for this feature for all the reasons mentioned already: (1) security and comfort using in public place, (2) ease of showing tool to friends, (3) avoiding discouraging those struggling to get out of debt, (4) discouraging day to day fluctuations with market movement. Each of those on their own merit alone is a good reason.

Love the tool and the overall design.

Please a simple toggle to show/hide net worth near the top (that remembers previous state).

I support (and upvoted) this feature. But for those still following and waiting for this I wanted to share a temporary workaround. Won’t take full credit — I got the idea from a passing comment someone made in a related post somewhere on the community but could find it now to give them credit. (Thank you OP).

I created a manual account and just added a dummy transaction that is roughly the same as my net worth. If you’re concerned your net worth is high and will attract unwanted attention add a negative transaction. If your net wrth is negative and you find it disheartening, add a positive transaction.

Pro tips: I named the account something that makes it clear it is just for Net worth adjustment. I chose an account type that isn’t banking so that it gets grouped down to the bottom in the account view (liabilities is a good choice… just be thoughtful about the pos/neg sign depending on what your goal is) And i chose a nice rounded number for my dummy transaction so i could quickly know where my NW actually is (you can adjust your dummy transaction periodically).

It has been surprisingly helpful/effective as a way to deal with concerns about the prominent NW while Simplifi considers the feature.

Thanks @HappyNorml — I think this was the comment (on this topic) that may have made the suggestion, but in much fewer words/details:

As someone who travels frequently, I often find myself going through my expense reports while traveling.

Having an inability to hide my net worth from each page is a big hinderance to doing so, as even the best privacy screen can't completely prevent wandering eyes when in close proximity to others.

Please provide an option or setting to hide/suppress showing totals and/or net worth from screens in the web and mobile app. Thanks!

I have been told by an employee that they are working on an easily toggled privacy mode, which might hide dollar amounts, including net worth.
