Future payment series show up as client credits

I created a few ecurring transfer series from "Client Invoices" to my bank account to represent future expected payments of invoices from regular client payments. This makes the future cash flow for both the Client Invoices account and my bank account show up correctly. However, these future payments show up as client credits on the client pages. I don't believe projected future payments should show up as credits.

    Hello @sidewalkboots,

Thanks for reaching out! I think we will need a bit more information to assist you better. Can you share the exact process you are doing, as well as screenshots showing the issue from your side in Quicken Simplifi? This will help us better understand what exactly is occurring here.

So, to create a recurring payment, I go to Bill & Income > All Series > Transfers, and press the button to create a new recurring transfer. I create the transfer series by selecting one of the "Client Invoices" transfers which represents payment of an invoice.

Then, when I go to Clients & Projects and select a project, I see there are a bunch of credits with future dates:

    Hello @sidewalkboots,

Thanks for the reply and information. If you are using Client Invoice Payments as the category for the recurring series, it would make sense that it considers it a client credit within Quicken Simplifi, since you are essentially creating future Credit Memos in this case. After creating Credit Memos, they do appear in your Sales History under the Credits tab as intended, per our support article here: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/10436397-how-to-use-credit-memos-to-apply-credits-and-issue-refunds#h_eb5b2bc6f3

I hope this information helps going forward.

  • I understand but I still think these should be excluded, as they are not actual credits. At least this should be something considered as recurring or planned invoice payments are more fully supported.
