Check Number Field Missing after 4.83.0 Upgrade (edited)
Upgraded Simplifi (web version)this morning and lost the check number field. I opened a case and they told me that field is not available for personal users. It is is only available for the business version. They offered me a discounted upgrade cost instead of fixing the issue. Anyone else find this unacceptable?

@West Winds, thanks for reaching out to the Community with this issue!
Although I do see the Check # column in my QBP file, I was able to confirm that it missing for personal-only subscribers is a bug rather than being intentional. It looks like the current fix version is set to 4.85.0, which should be released in 2 weeks from now. Let us know if you're still missing the Check # column after that time!

It's missing too on my end… really annoying to lose an existing feature that I use quite a lot! And to have to wait 2 weeks to fix it is not super convenient… will early access users get it back sooner?

Thank you Natalie. Not sure why support was not aware of this and provided the answer they did, but happy it is coming back.
thank you again

@EL1234, we definitely understand how disruptive it can be to lose an important feature! I'm not aware of the fix impacting Early Access users first (that's not how bug fixes typically work, unless the fix is for an Early Access-only feature), but I can assure you that our product team is aware of and actively working to resolve this issue.
Thank you for your patience!

Thanks @Coach Natalie
And I hope that all my historical data will be there when the field is back!

Was the check number data deleted, or is it simply not available through the user interface?

I am a Quicken Simplifi customer and use the service for tracking my checking account among other accounts. Until recently, I was able to add check numbers in the check number field when manually entering checks. The check number field is now gone on the mobile app for Android and on my mobile browsers, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I have not updated my web app on my laptop and so I still have access there. I suspect this was a programming error during a recent update. Will the field be restored? Also, will my previously entered check numbers be lost if I update the web app or will they simply be inaccessible? Thank you for your time.

That's a bug and will be fixed in about 2 weeks (maybe less). They know about it.

The program is usually separate from the database. Unless they actually deleted the field in the database (unlikely) I believe it's just the display/editing of the field that was likely affected. It would surprise me if the check numbers were deleted.
Disclaimer: I don't work for Quicken, but I have a computer science background and this is my best guess based on how I understand software.

Thank you, Rob. I had assumed the same.

Especially since the field is still there for QBP users… Let's hope!

I was told by support that the check number was removed from the Simplifi product but I could purchase Quicken for Business and Personal is I wanted that functionality. No advance notice and a push to a different product is a horrible way to treat your customers.

I write checks and record them as future transactions. It was helpful to have a field for check number. Seems like this would be helpful when matching an inbound transactions from my CU to the future dated transaction.
