Calendar Year 2025 – Archiving, Exporting, Prevent Prior Year Editing, etc.
As the calendar year 2025 usage of Simplifi comes to an end, what are some of the experienced users using as the archive methos – such as is there an export of all the transactions from Jan 01 2025 to Dec 31 2025 with attachments, can this export be used to reload in case the transactions of the year get deleted, are prior year transactions locked and prevented from deleting or change, etc.
I am just looking forward and getting excited to not have to keep the Quicken Classic and Simplifi in sync each month.

There is no easy way to back up a copy of Simplifi. You can export csv files for each account, but it shouldn't be necessary.
It is designed to continue without the need for archiving. I don't think even Quicken Classic pushes archiving the way they used to do. I don't see anyway to do it there although with it, of course, you can save back-ups.
There is a request to add a backup/restore feature to Simplifi:
You may want to add your vote though it appears you already have.

@SRC54 in Quicken Classic there is a way of selecting a range of transactions (Jan 01 2025 to Dec 31 2025), and then making a copy to a new database file.
@Coach Natalie in Aug 25 2021, there was a response that you were opening an idea post. Can you provide a status of this idea port as well as any implementation status? Thank you.

@Dick_Davis Thanks! My file goes back 8 years and I have files going back to the 90s. I haven't felt the need to make a new database, but I do keep backups.
Like you, it has been my intention to discontinue Classic, and having a good backup/restore for Simplifi would probably be the clincher.

@Dick_Davis, I'm not sure what you're referring to. Quicken Simplifi Community Moderators don't open Idea posts; that is something users do.
As far as Idea statuses, you can view the meaning of each one here, as well as learn how they get updated:
I hope this helps!

I would suggest to look at the send response to the first post and then it will become clearer.
