Trying to generate a report with how much money I have transfered/paid to loan and credit card acct
I have searched the site; however, I have not been able to find a way to generate a report showing how much I have paid each month on my loan and credit card accounts. I have a loan that I am paying $500 a month, plus CCs, where I am paying $300 a month. I would like to see this in my total expense budget (especially for loans where the money is already spent and the balance goes over several months).
This transfer system is perfect for credit cards I fully pay every month, but not for those where I carry a balance from month to month, since I can't see how much I have paid on those accounts (whether more or less than I have spent that month).

Thank you for your response. Transfers like that make sense when you are not carrying any balance on your cards. But how do you track payments to a given card when you are carrying a balance from month to month? If you do it as a transfer, you won't be able to see that in your monthly report (when you transfer more than you spent on the card for a given month just to pay for the balance)?

Thanks for the reply! Currently, there is no way to include transfers in a report except by recategorizing the transactions, as I mentioned earlier. Voting for and providing feedback on the ideas I shared above are the best ways to ensure that our team understands what users want in Quicken Simplifi regarding features.

Thank you for reaching out! To clarify, are you trying to run a report that would include transactions that are being categorized as transfers? If so, Quicken Simplifi does not include transfer transactions in reports by default because they do not qualify as income or expenses; instead, they are simply funds being moved between accounts.

To help you track these transactions, consider using an expense category instead of a transfer category, which will allow these transactions to be included in reports. This support article explains how you can recategorize your transactions in Quicken Simplifi:
