Incorrect Balances and Savings Goals for all Manually Tracked Accounts and Assets (edited)

The issue appears to have been resolved for me. Thanks to the team for the quick fix.

The issue appears to have been resolved for me.
Are you talking about:
- the inflated contribution issue, or
- the issue with Savings Goals erroneously marked completed and thus no longer visible in future months?
Number (1) is resolved for me, but number (2) is still a problem.
If number (2) is fixed for you, did you do anything that might have triggered the fix?

I see that the problem has been resolved as of this message. Thank you.

Goals still have incorrect totals (double balance).

@Coach Jon this was a very serious bug that took a while to resolve. We all expect that Simplifi will show our finances accurately. Quicken should share some details on how event could happen and how processes will be improved to prevent similar issues in the future.

Goals still have incorrect totals (double balance).
FYI… My Savings Goal balances and contribution amounts have corrected themselves, as of yesterday.
But Goals that were erroneously marked "Completed" continue to show that they are "Completed," even though they really aren't (contributions are less than target). So they are not showing up in next month's Spending Plan. Are you seeing that?

Seems like the below comment i posted a few hours back was deleted or disappeared so here it is again:
Manual Vehicle accounts still don't add up correctly. The total is now a nice round amount off. This also affects net worth and assets totals.
Can't say this enough: I'm now second guessing all numbers in Simplifi which is really unfortunate. A finance app that can't add properly…

Are you talking about this comment?
Or did you post another one (that has disappeared) between then and now?

Yes a copy (pretty much) of the latest one was posted but disappeared as far as i can tell.

This last one is an update after the "fix".

My observation about goals:
- For me they’re still not corrected balances as of now
- This includes both goals that shot past the target erroneously and those that didn’t.
- The ones that “met” the target erroneously are checked as complete.
- I personally had stopped using goals in spending plans in favor of rollover budgets (due to manual need to contribute) so it doesn’t impact my spending plans. But it does impact how I track savings allocations.

My goals are all still messed up. Most showing over 100% completed even though they are not completed. My one goal that was actually completed this month is showing as 183% completed.

My goals are still doubled as well, something like four days since I first saw the issue.

So update to "uncompleted goals showing as complete":
Everything seems to show correctly when I use my MacBook, but when I use my PC or iPhone, there are still uncompleted goals that erroneously show as completed.
Hopefully that info helps the team.

See my comment i just posted. Things seem fine on my MacBook when I use Safari, but not on my iPhone app or when I use a PC (which have uncompleted goals listed as completed). When I use chrome on my macbook I get a different number for my spending plan, but it doesn't seem to be affected by the issue of miscategorizing goals as completed.

To be sure I understand, do the erroneously completed Goals show up in the Active goals section on you MacBook but in the Completed goals section on your PC? (see image below)
And when you talk about getting a different number for the Spending Plan, are you talking about in the current month? Do the "completed" Goals make a difference in future months? (I ask because, for me, the "completed" Goals and their planned contributions do not show up in future months — even though they should — and thus my available funds number is inflated.)

BTW, did your vehicle account balance ever rectify itself?

Hello everyone!
Thank you all for your patience as we worked on fixing this issue. The solution should have corrected all user account balances by yesterday. If you are still experiencing any problems with your balance, or if you are encountering issues with Savings Goals displaying incorrect balances or being marked as completed incorrectly, please let us know!

Thanks. Accounts look OK. Goals are not, and still as previously stated.

Does it make sense that my zillow history shows some changes that aren't reflected in the Balance Adjustment transactions that are listed?
The last 2 balance adjustment transactions are on 1/12 and 1/25. However, I see the following:
1/20 balance goes up
1/23 balance goes down, lower than it was on 1/11
1/24 balance goes back up to what it was for 1/12-1/19
1/25 it goes up a little more and only this change has a matching Balance Adjustment transaction.
Also note that the current balance does match what Zillow shows on their website. I just wonder about the weird variations that started on 1/20 and if we can get rid of them since there aren't matching Balance Adjustment transactions.

@Coach Jon what changes is Quicken making to prevent similar issues from happening in the future? Obviously the testing and rollout process needs improvement

if you are encountering issues with Savings Goals … being marked as completed incorrectly, please let us know!
The problem is still ongoing and is unchanged from the way I described it here:
Others have reported the same issue on that thread.

My savings goal has been marked completed. This happened at the same time as the other manual account issues. I have not contributed anything to my savings goal for the past few months.

The alert says it was going to be fixed 1/23/26. It's not.

There are uncompleted/active goals that show up in the completed goals section when I view simplifi on Chrome on PC.
This is affecting what is showing up in the spending plan since the active goals are the ones that subtract from the spending plan.
On Chrome on my Macbook, the goals are appropriately categorized on the goals tab, but in the spending plan, many of the active goals have zero'd out the monthly contribution. For some reason on Chrome on my Mac, Camps and Car Taxes (for example) are currently active (which is correct) but on the spending plan shows that the planned monthly contribution is $0. It also added the amount I withdrew from a goal to the monthly spending plan amount (something I wish Simplifi actually did, but that doesn't happen on any of the other platforms I use simplifi on (Chrome on PC, app on iPhone, Safari on Macbook)).
Things seem fine when I view simplifi using safari on my macbook.

Kelley Blue Book car values are not updated still (some of them are still 0)

Thanks for the additional info. The fact that you see different results depending on the browser you use is pretty disconcerting.
Perhaps Simplifi is using a relatively "thick" client on the local machine that does a lot of the processing to generate the views locally. But it sure seems like categorizing a Goal as complete or not would work the same everywhere.
It's a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, inside a Macbook. (Apologies to Winston Churchill)
