Allow a manual update of the balance on manual accounts (edited)

@EL1234 A couple of more thoughts and experiences.

This morning I updated Spending Plan and was doing some clean-up for the new month. I had put in a couple of post-dated transactions that went live today. As is often the case, my manual accounts hadn't updated the balance. When I clicked on the transaction, it updated the balance. I had never noticed this behavior before, so I didn't need to use the re-sync balance that I thought I might need.

Also I have wanted for some time to comment on the 3rd type of account in Simplifi, namely the Modified Manual Accounts that update asset price a la Kelly Blue Book and Zillow. I say modified manual account because they don't work like connected accounts where the balance is what it is unless you add pending transactions or a balance adjustment.

On the Vehicle and House accounts, when it updates (which is every 30 days and 8 days or something like that), it merely adds a balance adjustment to bring the value in line with what Kelly and Zillow say. You can change these transactions or delete them or add new ones and whether they are pending or cleared, the price updates the same way as other manual accounts.

BUT the re-sync option isn't available for them even though many users the last two weeks had big problems with these accounts going to $0 or doubling their balances. So I assume to get the re-sync control back, you have to make the account manual, which is what I did after the debacle. It was no problem to reconnect them to Kelly and Zillow though I held off doing it until Friday.

I also don't really like that Zillow and Kelly accounts add a balance adjustment as I use these only as a last resort for when I couldn't get the manual account to sum correctly, something that should now not be necessary given the re-sync. Of course, the balance adjustments that are added are easy to delete or edit. I change them to transfer or depreciation according to my whim.

All of this is to say I find it strange the re-sync control was left off from these hybrid manual accounts. But I am grateful for it anyhow. And I know I can get to it my taking the account back to classic manual account.

Interesting! The first thing you mentioned sounds like what I have seen with my linked checking accounts, when transactions appear after midnight. If they would give us the "resync" button (maybe it should be called "recalculate" for all accounts, we could solve that as well. Though I do believe that it should recalculate at midnight to avoid this type of confusion (as not everyone will know to look out for balance issues).

And the after midnight thing is strange. I've gotten up early in Central Time Zone and Simplifi still thinks it's yesterday at 4 or 5 am.
