How to change Custom Income in Spending Plan for all future months? (edited)
Please help - I'm stuck and can't find an answer anywhere. I had a custom income amount set in my spending plan but now I want to change it for all future months. If I go to the Spending Plan tab I change change it for one month (by changing to Use Calculated Amount and then back to Set Custom Amount) but this only changes it for the one month - not future months. How do I change it for all future months?

@amintzer, thanks for posting your inquiry to the Community!
When checking in Quicken Simplifi, it appears that using a custom income amount in the Spending Plan applies only to the individual month you set it for. This is likely due to the Spending Plan functioning on a per-month basis. I'm not seeing a way to set it for one month and have it apply to all months, so it appears you'll need to set the custom amount for each month individually.
If you'd like to see the ability to apply a custom income amount to all months in the Spending Plan, or all future months specifically, I'd recommend creating an Idea post so other users can vote for it, and our product team can review it. Our FAQ here has more details on Idea posts:
Sorry for not having a better answer, but I hope this helps!

Thanks for the response but clearly there must have been a way to do this in the past because I had the same default income in the spending plan for several years. That default amount still appears every month but now I have to manually adjust it for my new default income. Looks like this feature was taken away vs having never been there.

@amintzer, thanks for the reply!
I'm not finding anything in our help center or internal resources indicating whether a custom income amount is intended to apply to all future months or only the current month. I have reached out to inquire further and will post an update if I learn anything substantive. Otherwise, our content team will gather the details needed to add this to our help content so we have a definitive answer in the future.
For now, the correct course of action here in the Community is to create the Idea post mentioned above so our product team can hear from users about how the current design affects usability.
Much appreciated!
