Manual Investment Account Balance Different Between Accounts List and Portfolio (edited)

Something is out of sync with my manual investment account.

When I look at the accounts list and then go to the detail, it has 2 different balances. Can someone explain why? This just started happening on 2/25/2026.

    Hello @pastchief8,

Thanks for reaching out! The balance for manual investment accounts in the Accounts List is updated during nightly aggregation. In contrast, the Investments tab displays the real-time balance of your manual investment account.

This information, as well as how Investment balances update in Quicken Simplifi, can be found in our support article here: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/5167335-how-do-my-investment-balances-update#h_065e6afe7a

    I hope this helps!

@Coach Jon Sir, I never had this problem before. Why do y'all make it sound like it's a user error or mis-understanding.

    Hello @pastchief8,

Thanks for the reply! I can certainly understand how this information can be confusing. I cannot account for how the data may have been presented to you before, but I can verify that this is how manual investment accounts are updated in Quicken Simplifi. The balances may not always line up due to this.

We do have a great idea post you can vote for and follow for updates that requests that Investment balances be more consistent across the application here:

@Coach Jon The balance should always reflect the actual balance no matter what view you look at. This is simple account practice. Why would anyone provide a system where they are different? Does Quickbooks act the same way?

    Hello @pastchief8,

We would not know how QuickBooks operates here in the community, since Quicken Simplifi and QuickBooks are under separate companies. We definitely appreciate the feedback, however, and I would still suggest voting for and following the idea post I shared.

    Thank you!
