The black flag appears as a dusky blue color on mobile (edited)

I have noticed the flag colors between web and mobile are inconsistent in a few ways.

  1. The exact red, orange, yellow, etc. used on the web is not displayed the same in the iOS app (see attached screenshots). The iOS colors are much more vibrant and some are different hues altogether.
  2. Secondly, and more importantly, blues and blacks seem to be mixed up.
    1. The $21.66 charge is flagged blue on the website, but shows up a purple-blue on mobile.
    2. The $9.66 charge is flagged black on the website but shows up as the color that I would expect to see for the $21.66 charge (the blue). It does not show as black on mobile and it should.

It looks like someone mentioned this in the past in these forums and a change was indeed implemented, but not to a great level of detail.

Are there any plans to align the color usage between website and mobile with identical hex color codes as of today?

    @MatthewR, thanks for posting to the Community!

    When comparing flag colors between the Quicken Simplifi Mobile and Web Apps, the only difference I’m seeing is that the black flag appears as a dusky blue in the Mobile App.

    As for the slight differences in hues between platforms, I wouldn’t consider that a bug as long as the colors themselves match (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, cyan, and black). If you’d like to see the hues standardized between Mobile and Web, the best path would be to create an Idea post so other users can vote on it, and our product team can review the request.

    Based on where things currently stand, the issue is the black flag displaying as dusky blue in the Mobile App. Let us know if that aligns with what you’re seeing, and we can move forward with escalating the issue.

    Thank you for the fast response!

    The black flag from the website does appear as the dusky blue on mobile, yes, and is a clear error. If you can send that up the flagpole (pun intended), that would be great!

    However, in addition, I was thinking that same dusky blue was meant to be used in place of the current purple-ish color which you are calling regular blue. To my eyes, that's not really blue which is why I thought it was also an error. I think because you see it as a blue, it is aligned to you. I see it as more of a purple, so it's misaligned to me—not just a vibrance/hue issue. If you see what I'm saying and your dev team can investigate, that would be helpful as well. If not, that's fine too.

    As for perfectly aligning the colors across all platforms, I can definitely add an idea. I'm sorry, I'm new and didn't know that existed. 😀

    @MatthewR, thanks for confirming!

    Although I see what you mean about the blue having a purplish hue on the Mobile App, I'd say the purple is pretty definitely purple —

    Thank you for creating the Idea post! I am going to link it here for others:

    Otherwise, I did escalate the issue with the black flag appearing as a dusky blue color on the Mobile App. I will post back here as updates are received!
