Are you talking about logging into Simplifi or logging into the bank?

If you are able to log into the community using your login, then you should be able to login to Simplifi since they used the same credentials. (At least mine do).

If this is the bank login, can you go to the bank site and log in there? If so, your credentials should be fine.

So when you go to sync the bank in Simplifi, do you get an error message? Does it reject your login?

Give us some more details please and maybe we can help.

Quicken password design parameters - max character limit remains a mystery...

For the past several months, I have been having an issue with syncing only one bank, and yesterday, a new customer service agent asked about how many characters and any special characters. This completely threw me off. Quicken team states a minimum but has no statement for the maximum number of characters and any special characters not allowed!? Frustrated and overwhelmed with the outsourced call center, and a minor communication barrier as well. Frustrated in California.

Both, Qucken Desktop & Simplifi, yes I am able to login directly, on app or any other method, except I cannot sync one account with both QD & QS.

    OK, thanks.

Edit: The fact that it is broken with Quicken Classic and Quicken Simplifi makes it more likely that the problem is with the bank. Have you checked over at the Classic community to see if other users have found a workaround? https://community.quicken.com There might be other users there having the same trouble. Do you mind if I ask the name of the Bank?

I wonder if you should try changing your password for this bank account to see if you can break the logjam. Try disconnecting the account and starting over to reconnect it.

If that doesn't work, have you tried calling the bank for support to tell them that you cannot sync the account with Quicken. It sounds like you did talk to them as the agent suggested a problem with your username or password?

    Good luck.

    Hello @RKothari,

Thank you for reaching out! To assist with this, I checked your recent interaction with Support. Since you encountered an FDP-103 (invalid credentials) error and the troubleshooting did not resolve it, the agent needed to ask you for your password format to escalate the issue. It doesn't mean that the password is the problem, but it is something our escalated teams check for, just in case the password length or a specific special character is causing the problem.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello @RKothari,

Thank you for reaching out! Is this post about your recent contact with Support? If it is, then since the issue you reported was an FDP-103 (invalid credentials) error, and the troubleshooting did not work, Support needed to ask you about the password format to escalate the issue for further investigation and resolution.

To address your question about the maximum password length when connecting to a financial institution in Quicken, it is typically determined by the financial institution.

    I hope this helps!
