Deletion Security Prompts
There needs to be a prompt when a user deletes something. Something like 'THIS IS GOING TO BE DELETED, ARE YOU SURE?'. This is basic UI going back to the like the 90s, I'm at a loss why its not here.
I'm a little aggravated because I just tried to enter a SPLIT transaction by double clicking on the row and it deleted mutiple transactions before i realized what was happening. I tried to replicate with a screen grab but was unable. I think what may have happened is when I clicked in there was a lag to open the window (I've been seeing this for the last few weeks). I became impatient and double clicked again but may have clicked over the 'DELETE TRANSACTION' option on the transaction window and … poof … gone. Not warning, no security, gone.
So now I have less confidence in my data set because … has this happened before and I never realized it? Do I need to validate against every account balances going back three years?!
This is really three issues:
- When Simplifi is going to delete something, verify with user before deleting. I'm shocked I'm writing that in 2026.
- The DELETE TRANSACTION button on the bottom of the transaction window is in a REALLY bad place, that needs to be somewhere else. (related, the DELETE ALL SPLITS option on the split window is just as bad, right below ADD SPLIT. Can't tell you how many times I've hit DELETE ALL SPLITS instead of add splits, such bad UI).
- Window. The lag on the window is awful. Sometimes its ok but when its finicky it sucks.
Lots of good things coming out but we're sacrificing basics and thats no good.

Hello @Simpli_User_101,
Thanks for reaching out and for your feedback! We do have a couple of great idea posts that you may be interested in voting for that align with what you were requesting here:
As for the window lag you mentioned, this is not something I have personally seen, but you can try signing into Quicken Simplifi in another web browser to verify if that works better for you.
I hope this helps!

There is also an immediate UNDO that comes up in a black box down toward the bottom left on the web app. I've used it myself when I did the wrong thing. It stays there for a while but I have never timed it. 10 seconds? 15 seconds?
Another idea would be to have a more prominent UNDO button somewhere that would let you undo something even longer.
