The visualization is currently telling me that most of my net worth has come from two large spikes in the last six months. This is definitely not true, but I'm trying to figure out what is causing the app to display it that way. I have not made any changes to my accounts connected to Simplifi, so I don't think it's a function of the app suddenly becoming aware of a new account and treating it as new funds. Any thoughts?

I think I sent this in via some feedback form, but posting here as well.
The Net Worth dashboard is very nice. I appreciate the Breakdown of Assets vs. Debt. However, this breakdown (both $ and %) is missing a key perspective: levered asset value instead of unlevered.
Simple example:
$1M house
$0.5M brokerage
$0.5M retirement
($750K mortgage)The Assets breakdown would show 50% Real Estate. But on a levered basis, you pair the mortgage with the house and Real Estate would only 20% ($0.25M/$1.25M). This would likely require asset & liability matching of some kind in order to generate levered values, but it would be very meaningful.

this is an excellent start…next step will be Retirement Planner…with Monte Carlo simulations

The net worth breakdown (lower right side of screen) is inconsistent with the accounts listed on the dashboard.
I.E - the Retirement Header in the account list total is inconsistent with the amount listed in the net worth break down. It looks like they are inflating the retirement number on net worth with non-retirement investment accounts.

For some weird reason, my Net Worth Feature shows me having +$90 from Credit Cards although that was a payment for a $90 charge that cleared last week. No biggie, but strange. The Apple Card shows a balance of $0.00 both in the phone and Simplifi.

This was mentioned earlier in this thread but another vote for reversing the debt coloring. It seems like debt going up should be red not green, and debt going down should be green not red.

Just updating that I was mistaken in my previous comment! The negative signs mixed me up. When debt is going up the numbers are red and when it's going down they are green as I would expect. Appreciate the quick connect on the issue!

Reposting this as it could have gotten lost in the comments - the coloring/symbol of Debt is misleading:
My debt went down by 9.2K. It should be green, but show -$ and conversely be red when debt goes up and show +$. It would be helpful to also invert the icons for debt - green when arrow icon is trending down, red when arrow icon is trending up.0 -
Requests:
I need to be able to delete or modify a balance datapoint in net worth in an account on certain days. In the 12 month daily view I have 3 large incorrect spikes (+ and -) of account values.
Also from the net worth page, if I click on any kind of account, I'd like to see the balance table for that account/holdings, not just go to that account page, which may not even have a balance table. (eg. checking just goes to transactions). If I want to go to default account pages, I wouldn't be using the Net Worth page to get there.
I want to see all the account/holdings information which is relevant to net worth and nothing irrelevant.

I have the same spike in my history, probably for the few days between when I added my Zillow account for my house and when I added the mortgage account :D
Was wondering if there's a way to fix it….

Historical net worth can be corrected with our import process:
I hope this helps!

Thanks! Is there a way to export the current history so that I can tweak it and upload it with my changes, so I don't have to start from scratch?

There is no export option for account balance history. You can, however, export the net worth report!

How do I do that? I poked around the Net Worth section but didn't find anything.

@EL1234, the steps to export reports can be found here:
If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please create a separate post so this thread stays on topic with the Net Worth feature.
Thank you!

Oh, I had to go to the Reports section. Got it!

@Coach Natalie I filtered the net worth report by the specific account I want to fix and downloaded it. Can I just copy over the data to the sample upload file, change the one month that needs fixing, and upload it? I don't want to mess anything up :)

Interesting, I had to change a header from Day to Date :)
Aside from that, it looks like it worked. Thanks for your help!

my mortgage changed so there is huge dislocation. so i put in manual account with negative balance and used balance history import and marked it closed and that worked except it still counts in net worth even though its closed (net worth shows correctly in main product just not in new net worth section). when i try to exclude the manual account from net worth web app crashes

My net worth feature erroneously reports a $90 credit in my Apple Card. This has been going on for a while.
I paid a bill with the Apple Card on April 12th and paid off the Apple Card a few days later. So the account is at $0.00 yet it is still showing a $90 credit.
I tried changing the transaction exclusions and that showed the +90, so that I had to update the account on the iPhone to fix it but the $90 stayed.
I checked to see that the actual balance was right (totaling all transactions), and it was.
I made the account manual, and that fixed it in the Net Worth module. So the problem appears to be in the Apple Account. Those Apple accounts are problematic and have been broken a while. I am afraid to use my Apple Cash card because I know it will break it.
Edits: As I expected, once I updated again on the iPhone, it reconnected the account, and now it is correct everywhere. So probably not a Net Worth problem but I'll leave the post alone as others might see the same phenomenon.

Hey, thanks for flagging this issue! I'll raise with our team, and will reach out if we need anything.

I think I found a bug in the Net Worth tab. I have 2 different UTMA investment accounts that are tagged as type: Custodial (UGMA/UTMA). On my main Dashboard, these 2 accounts show up under Brokerage. However, under the Net Worth tab these accounts are bucketed under Retirement for some reason.

It would be useful to be able to define a custom asset breakdown in the Net Worth view. I'm interested specifically in Investable Assets, but allowing users to define their own categories as selected sets of accounts would be sufficient.

Connecting this to the retirement planner would be great
