expense series amounts on planned spend keep reverting to old amounts after I change them

Several times over the past few months I have edited the expense series amounts on the planned spend page of my spending plan only to find they have reverted to the old amounts when I log in a few days later. How do I get the expense series amounts to stick?

@PFNikolai, thanks for reaching out to the Community with this issue!

To clarify, are you editing the amounts for past month's expenses, or are you editing in the current month? And are these one-time expenses, or are they a series that recurs each month?

If you're editing from the current month, I'd recommend deleting and recreating the expenses from the current month instead, in case something funky is going on with the expenses themselves. You can maybe test this with one to see if it works, and then do the same for any other problematic ones. Doing so should not affect past months.

Let us know how things go!

Hey Natalie - I am editing various expense series amounts (budgets) on the planned spend page of my spending plan —so I am on the planned spend page, click the three dots for a category, click edit expense series, edit the target amount, and click update. I then confirm the change has been applied on that month and all future months, but when I log in a day or week or month later (the time before it reverts seems to be random) I discover those expense series amounts have reverted to the old amounts. This has happened repeatedly both last year and this year.

@PFNikolai, thank you for the information!

Since you're editing the Planned Spend expenses series from the current month, I would recommend following the steps in my last reply to see if creating new expenses resolves things moving forward —

Okay - I deleted and recreated several expense series with the correct target amounts. I'll let you know if they revert again. Thanks!
