Add Coinbase One Card (Credit Card)

https://help.coinbase.com/en/creditcard/budgeting-app?app_tracking_transparency_enabled=true

Coinbase has a credit card powered by Amex. Currently, the Account API connection does not see the credit card account. Coinbase recently added support for this connection. Can an engineer on the team please review the attached link and include the credit card in account setup within Simplifi?

    Hello @odrocs,

Thanks for reaching out! Can you please clarify if you access the Coinbase One Card account via the same URL as the regular Coinbase instance we have in Quicken Simplifi? Or do you access this account via an external URL/website? For example, are you redirected to a different website when selecting the account on the bank's website?

Additionally, if it is powered by American Express, have you tried to see whether connecting via American Express works in Quicken Simplifi?

For clarity, this is a request to add a new financial institution, "Coinbase One Card" as mentioned in the link provided above. This will connect through Plaid.

NOTE: This is separate and distinct from the current account setup for "coinbase.com" as shown below. Coinbase is requiring this as a separate financial institution.

    Hello @odrocs,

Thank you for the reply! We can definitely submit this as a Missing Financial Institution Request, which you and other users can vote for and follow for updates. We will just need the URL you use to access this bank account, please.

+1 to this request. I'm also a Coinbase One Card holder and would love to see this supported in Simplifi.

Worth flagging for the team: Coinbase has already built a dedicated Plaid integration specifically for the Coinbase One Card that shares credit-card-only data (transactions, balances, statements) with personal finance apps. The integration uses scoped authorization that only exposes card data — not crypto holdings, trading history, or wallet addresses. Documentation is here: https://help.coinbase.com/en/creditcard/budgeting-app

Since the plumbing is already in place on Coinbase's side via Plaid, this should hopefully be a matter of Simplifi enabling the institution on their end rather than building a new connector from scratch. The card itself is issued by First Electronic Bank via Cardless (Coinbase's embedded credit card partner), so it won't show up under the existing Coinbase or American Express institutions — it needs to be added as its own entry, likely as 'Coinbase One Card' or similar.

Happy to help test once it's available. Thanks for considering!

    Hello @ingold,

Thank you for reaching out as well! As stated previously, if this is going to be reported as a Missing Financial Institution Request, we will need the URL you use to access this account. Is it different than the one used to connect to the non-credit card Coinbase accounts already within Quicken Simplifi? Let us know!

Based on the documentation (link) I provided in my original thread and @ingold detailed comments, it is clear that www.coinbase.com nor www.americanexpress.com is NOT the URL for this institution. This integration will run though Plaid and the originating institution is First Electronic Bank via Cardless. This should be enough information for a developer to source the appropriate connection through Plaid's integration workflow.

Plaid's API is publicly available at https://production.plaid.com

As you can see, Cardless is supported.

Lastly, please add notes to the developer that integration should be named Coinbase One Card to align with Coinbase's direction (see link). This is how Simplifi customers will search for the connection in the future.

    Thank you for your reply,

Please provide the URL that you use when logging into the account directly through the financial institution's website. This information will help us confirm if there is already a connection in Quicken Simplifi that should work.

    Thank you!

There is no traditional consumer login for Coinbase One Card holder accounts. This is unlike other credit cards. Coinbase One Card holders see there balance only on within the coinbase phone applications, not even through the web at www.coinbase.com.

I recognize that support staff is looking for two data points; 1) Financial Institution 2) Login URL. This is the same workflow as the missing financial institution request form. (screenshot below)

This is a different situation than the typical missing financial institution. Please escalate this thread to a developer and they will immediately understand the issue and solution.

Is there a link to the new missing financial institution request so that I can track and vote? I cannot find it anywhere.
