Adding Cross Country Mortgage FDP-185 (edited)
I'm trying to add Cross Country Mortgage as an account. After I enter my username and password, Simplifi prompts me for a 6-digit passcode, The passcode is never sent to me and the code from my authenticator app doesn't work. I've reviewed MFA settings with Cross Country and I'm able to access my account from their website.
The URL shown in Simplifi is https://myccmortgage.yourmortgageonline.com
However, Cross Country now uses the following URL for loan access
.https://borrower.crosscountrymortgage.com/
The URL in Simipli may be out of date. Also, I was notified that Cross Country will be requiring MFA starting in August, and it's possible that they have changed something in preparation for that.

Hello @Gregory S.,
Thank you for reaching out! I am sorry that you were unable to connect with Cross Country Mortgage in Quicken Simplifi. I see that you are receiving an FDP-185 error when trying to connect. Have you tried changing how you receive your MFA code? Is it able to be sent via SMS instead of via the authenticator app you mentioned?
We can also have you try the following steps to see if this can help you get connected:
- Make all of the accounts with the bank manual by following the steps here.
- Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
- If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.

Thanks for your response. Cross Country supports email, SMS, and an authenticator app for MFA. Per your suggestion, I disabled the authenticator option, and I receive the same error. I then went a step further, and I removed the SMS option, and I still received the same error. Note that when I log in to Cross Country directly, I am prompted for how I wish to receive the code. That prompt is not presented to me in Simplifi.

Hello @Gregory S.,
Thank you for letting us know that you are not being prompted for an MFA code in Quicken Simplifi. I have escalated this issue to our service provider and will follow up with any updates as they work on a resolution.
In the meantime, you can track the account manually by adding manual transactions, which will keep your records up-to-date. Here are the steps to do so: Managing Transactions in Quicken Simplifi | Quicken Simplifi Help Center
If the account is an investment account, the manual tracking steps are a little different:
- Make the account manual so you can add and edit Holdings: How to Make an Account 'Manual' | Quicken Simplifi Help Center
- Add/edit your Holdings to keep accurate records: Tracking Investments in Quicken Simplifi | Quicken Simplifi Help Center and Tracking Investments in Quicken Simplifi | Quicken Simplifi Help Center

To clarify - Simplifi prompts me to enter a 6-digit code. Unlike Cross Country Mortgage, Simplifi does NOT ask how I want to receive the code (email, SMS, etc.).

Unfortunately, the user experience has not changed. The application still prompts me for a 6-digit passcode without asking how I want to receive the passcode. No passcode is received via SMS or email.

Hello @Gregory S.,
Thank you for the reply! Can you please provide the following information so that I can pass it along to our service provider:
- A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website that has a wide enough scope to show the full page URL. This is the landing page after signing in, and typically lists all accounts and balances. You will want to take this from a web browser and not a mobile browser, as well as redact any private info such as account numbers.
- A screenshot of the error code you receive within Quicken Simplifi.
Feel free to DM this information if you prefer!
