Investment Cost Basis Field Locked & Manual Edits Reverted to Broker Data (edited)
The "Cost Basis" field within the Investments section is currently locked and no longer accepts manual edits. Furthermore, all previous manual adjustments I made to this field have been retroactively overwritten by synced data from the connected broker.

Hello @rosachin21k,
Thank you for reaching out! To help clarify any confusion, holdings data cannot be edited within connected Investments accounts. This information would be controlled by the service provider and financial institution.
I hope this makes sense.

@Coach Jon - That is the case for other fields, like quantity, share price, change, etc. Simplifi did allow us to change the cost basis in the past. It was even touted as a feature. Even today, on one of my holdings, I can update the cost basis, but not on all. Out of 10 holdings, I can update the cost basis on 1.

Thank you for your reply,
I tested it in my Quicken Simplifi. If the cost basis information is provided by the financial institution, you will not be able to edit it. Additionally, it will refresh with the financial institution, which would explain why information you previously had manually entered was overwritten by what the broker provided.
If the information is not provided by the financial institution, then you will have the ability to edit it.
These earlier posts may provide helpful insight into how it works:
I hope this helps!
