I'm wondering why my FNBO Direct account won't update? I'm getting care code FDP-193. I tried to delete/remove the account and re-add it and still kept receiving this code. Any suggestions?
@Ann2020, thanks for reaching out to the Community with this issue!
When checking your connection attempts from our end, I see an FDP-193 error with FNBO Direct. However, I also see successful connections with First National Bank of Omaha. Do these two bank options you're using have different accounts under them? Or were you able to connect your FNBO Direct accounts to the First National Bank of Omaha bank option in Quicken Simplifi? We just want to ensure we understand your setup so we know how to proceed.
We look forward to your reply!
Thanks for responding! Yes, although both are part of First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO), the FNBO Direct is their virtual bank offering and the accounts from both FNBO and FNBO DIrect are separate with different account numbers. In the past, FNBO DIrect has updated in Simplifi but I noticed lately it hasn't. I don't have a ton of activity with this account so I hadn't noticed it until now when I was looking for an offsetting entry in FNBO Direct on Simplifi.
@Ann2020, thank you for clarifying!
Since the FNBO Direct option has worked for this specific account in the past, I think we are safe to continue using it, though we may ask you to try the regular First National Bank of Omaha options at some point as well, just to see if they allow you to connect and update your account, as you can link multiple credentials sets to a single bank instance in Quicken Simplifi.
First, though, let's have you try establishing a completely fresh connection with FNBO Direct for that specific account(s), to see if doing so clears things up for you, and, if not, so we can confirm the error:
Let us know how things go!
thanks! I’ll try these steps tomorrow when I’m back home on my computer and will let you know how it goes. Thanks again!
Ann
Hello - I went through the steps for FNBO and I can see all three of my accounts with FNBO. But I'm still unable to see my FNBO Direct account. I'll send you a screen shot in a private message. [edited image for privacy and added here]
So frustrating since this used to work but now doesn't :(. Let me know what else you would suggest for me. Thanks! Ann
@Ann2020, thanks for giving those steps a try and posting back!
To confirm, you're saying you set both the FNBO Direct account and the other First National Bank of Omaha accounts to manual, then tried to link them all back up using the "First National Bank of Omaha" bank option, but it didn't find the Direct account? And you then tried to link the Direct account via FNBO Direct and received the FDP-193 error? I just want to ensure that the "First National Bank of Omaha" bank option was tried and that it did not find the Direct account.
If this is the case, please provide the following data for an escalation for FNBO Direct:
Please also submit your logs via the 'Send Feedback' option:
Thanks Natalie - I only set the 3 First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) accounts to manual. I can't get FNBO Direct to link so I can no longer see my account in FNBO Direct to set it to manual. And when linking to FNBO, this does not give me the FNBO Direct account to select…. only my 3 FNBO accounts. Here is the info you requested:
I link ONLY the account labeled Ann Savings.
Thanks! Ann
@Ann2020, thank you for the information!
I apologize for the confusion. Since you stated that the Direct account used to work, I assumed the account was still in Quicken Simplifi. Did you delete it? If not, it should still be there under Settings > Accounts. Since this is the account with the error, you'd want to follow the steps in my initial reply with that account specifically. To further clarify, the image you sent for number 1 shows the name of the financial institution, not the name of the account.
If you still have your FNBO Direct account in Quicken Simplifi, please follow these steps to establish a completely fresh connection with FNBO Direct (you do not need to follow these steps for the accounts linked to "First National Bank of Omaha", since they are not presenting the error):
If the FNBO Direct account is already set to manual in Quicken Simplifi, you'll find it under the 'Manual Accounts' section in Settings > Accounts. If this is the case, and you are unable to re-link it to the "FNBO Direct" bank option due to the FDP-193 error, we'd want to confirm that you are also unable to link it to the "First National Bank of Omaha" bank option due to it not being discovered during the Add Account flow.
Hopefully this helps to clear things up! Please let us know how things go with the FNBO Direct account, specifically.
I deleted FNBO Direct to try to re-add it since it wasn't updating and I was getting an error every time I tried to "reset connection". The FNBO Direct institution will show up again in accounts under settings when I try to re-add it but but it won't actually connect to my FNBO Direct account. The name of the account is "Ann Savings". Here's a screen shot with the Accounts drop down shown:
Unfortunately I can't get my account to show up with FNBO Direct in order to make my FNBO Direct account ("Ann Savings") manual. I continually get this:
And I'm not able to link the FNBO Direct account to First National Bank of Omaha since First National Bank of Omaha only pulls up the three accounts under it…. it does not pull up the FNBO Direct account. (Both under the First National Bank "family" of banks but are separate.)
@Ann2020, thank you for clarifying that you deleted the account, and that it is not being discovered under the "First National Bank of Omaha" bank option.
I went ahead and filed a ticket for this issue. We will post updates here as they are received. As for the empty institution under 'Manual Accounts' in Settings > Accounts (the one you sent an image of for number 1 above), you can just delete this if you'd like, since it doesn't have any accounts under it.
While the escalation is being worked on, you can manually track the account to keep your records up to date. Our support article here goes over adding a manual account: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4295304-adding-accounts-in-quicken-simplifi#h_933c74c4b4
