Ability to Customize the Time Range for Spending Trends on the Dashboard (edited)

As I’m getting more familiar with the spending trends feature (which I guess is “reports” in the app and “insights” on the web), I’m really liking it. It displays spending data in a useful manner and appropriate level of detail. I especially like how the spending for the current month includes projected recurring transactions. That’s VERY useful.

One suggestion is to allow the user to set the default period for the data displayed on the dashboard tile. On the app it’s year-to-date; on the web it’s the last 30 days. I would like to be able to default to the current month. Then if I want to view a different period, or review spending in more detail, I could click the time and adjust accordingly.
