Introducing the Bill Connect for Credit Cards Feature
By Coach Jon
We're thrilled to share a powerful new feature designed to bring you more peace of mind: Bill Connect for Credit Cards! This automatically updates your credit card payment reminders on both the Quicken Simplifi Web and Mobile Apps! We know how vital it is to stay on top of your finances, and this enhancement is all about making that easier and more intuitive.
With this feature, your credit card reminders will now reflect real-time balances and due dates directly from your connected credit card account. No more manual adjustments or worrying about outdated information. This is a game-changer, especially for those cards not supported by Bill Connect in Quicken Simplifi.
Setting it up is a breeze! Once your recurring payment is in place, Simplifi leverages your online banking connection to gather crucial bill presentment data, like your statement balances and due dates. Then, it automatically updates your reminders for you.
How It Works:
You'll notice a brand new "Bill Connect" tab when you're editing a recurring payment series. Afterwards, simply enable automatic updates, and Simplifi will start pulling real-time account data to keep your reminders current, even before your statement officially closes!
- Throughout the month: Quicken Simplifi keeps your reminders updated using the aggregated balance directly from your bank.
- After the statement closes: The system automatically updates the reminder with your final statement balance, total balance, or the minimum due — depending on your preference, of course.
This feature specifically matters because this will allow you to:
- See your real balance: Your reminders will always reflect your actual credit card balance, giving you an accurate snapshot of what you owe.
- Reclaim your time: Spend less time on manual updates and more time doing what you actually want to be doing.
- Gain visibility: Improve your financial planning and visibility, so you're always in control of your money.

Re: Independence Day Trivia!

Re: Saving Reports with end date = Today
I don't think there is any way to save a report in Simplifi. You must be using Quicken Classic. If so, here is the correct community for you:

Re: How to identify a subscription
I think what @Coach Natalie is suggesting is that you change the names in the 3 recurring series so that you can identify which subscription is which. So, for example, you might name them "Apple - Cat," "Apple - Dog," and "Apple - Fish" and give each one the proper amount for that particular subscription. Something like this:
I can't find anything in the support documents that explains how it works, but my experience has been that the Name on the recurring series does not have to exactly match the Payee information from the downloaded transaction. I don't know how close it has to be for the match to be detected, but I have renamed a number of my recurring subscriptions for clarity (only changing the name a little bit) and they have continued to match.
It would be nice if there were a bit more clarity on how the transaction-matching system works, but no one has come forward to explain so far.

Re: Understanding – Pending in Transaction Activity
Because others are describing how they use Quicken Simplifi, let me put in my two three cents:
(1) When I first started with Simplifi I was very hands-on. A number of things were different from software I had used previously and I wanted to make sure I understood how it worked.
(2) Now that I am more comfortable with it, I am very hands-off. I still look at it frequently to remain aware of upcoming manual payments, check categorizations, or make notes of things I need to remember. But I seldom interfere with its automatic functions.
(3) One thing that help me relax was the fact that the account balances are not based on the transactions in the registers. At first that perplexed me because it is so different from my other software, but now I see it as a kind of "failsafe." Even if you muck up the transaction list, you will still be able to know the actual balances in your accounts.
