Chase Bank Transaction Download
Good morning. I noticed that Chase does not download transactions over the weekend. I made some purchases on Saturday and Sunday that did not get pushed to Simplifi until Monday morning.
If you bank with Chase, has than been your experience?
I did not want to enter them manually to avoid duplication.

I do not bank with Chase, however, I can speak to entering manual transactions in a connected account ahead of download. As long as you enter the manual transactions as pending for them to affect the balance and have similar payee and same amount that Chase will show, Simplifi will merge the transactions automatically for you. If duplicates result, you can merge the transactions on the web app only.

@UrsulaA so you’re aware, chase will update bank balances though it does not download transactions. If you enter manual transactions, like i do, chase accounts in simplifi will show the wrong balance. This is because the bank updated balance reflects those transactions plus your manual transactions additionally and duplicately affect the balance. Your almost better off waiting for them to download. I still manually track, though.

Rob: You mentioned that you still track those transactions manually while also allowing them to download. So you just ignore the account balance during the weekend?
I’m not sure why Chase does not provide for download during non business hours. It’s inconvenient.0 -
@RobertoT @RobWilk and I have had a long discussion about this. My experience has been mixed. But lately, yes, Chase has been tardy downloading transactions. This morning at 5:30am Central, it did download correctly. It might help if you contact Chase Support to complain (nicely). I am having a conversation with them by email and will probably call too.
The gist of my problem is this: Chase often updates the balance but fails to clear transactions, which causes my Amazon Visa balance to be wrong in Simplifi until A) Chase downloads them the next time or B) I manually clear in Simplifi the pending transactions that Chase has already taken into account.
