FDP-103, 106 Errors connecting to EQ Bank (Canada)

I was really excited when I first setup the above bank within Simplifi and for the first few days, it worked amazingly well!

Now I haven't been able to log in for the past 3 days and tried everything possible (reset, delete accounts, delete institution) and once I log in and provide correct 2FA, I receive either the 103 or 106 errors.

At a loss to understand why, and it's getting really frustrating as this is my daily bank..without reliable access, Simplifi is basically of no use to me. That's too bad as I love the platform.

    @Loselbs1959, thanks for posting to the Community regarding this issue!

    When viewing your connection attempts from our end, I also see an FDP-185 error with EQ Bank, which indicates an issue with completing MFA. I have some follow-up questions for this particular error:

    1. Is Quicken Simplifi asking you to complete MFA?
    2. Are you receiving the code?
    3. What method are you using (SMS, call, etc.)?
    4. Have you tried changing how you receive your MFA code?

    Also, from what I see from our end, the connection ends in the FDP-106 error — does that seem to match your experience? If so, please provide the following additional data:

    1. The name of the account, as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
    2. The name of the account, as it appears on the bank's website.
    3. What type of account are you attempting to connect?
    4. Has there been any changes made to the bank's website or the sign-in process recently?
    5. Has there been any activity in the account in the last 90 days?
    6. What is the exact URL you see after signing into the bank’s website? 
    7. A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website that lists all accounts and balances (feel free to redact any personal info) and has a wide enough scope to show the page URL (this must be taken from a web browser and not a mobile browser).

    Thanks for responding so quickly!

    I am new to this community so I will respond to your questions below:

    1. Yes I am being asked to complete MFA
    2. I am receiving the code, no problems there
    3. I am using SMS
    4. I tried changing the MFA to use email instead, however EQB did not accept the change despite telling me it was successfully change

    And yes, I wind up with the FDP-106 error consistently now….answers to questions below again:

    1. I got so desperate, I deleted all EQB accounts in Simplifi and tried to link again
    2. I have up to 20 accounts at EQB, although 4 are daily banking accounts, and the others are CDR's for which each one is treated by Simplifi as a single account. When the link was working, I ignored those accounts.
    3. Trying to add a Checking, a Credit, and two Savings Account.
    4. No, I have signed in as always, as I mentioned it worked beautifully a week ago and it got worse and worse over time.
    5. Oh yes, there is daily activity in these accounts
    6. The login URL is https://secure.eqbank.ca/login and once I log in, the dashboard view comes up as follows: https://secure.eqbank.ca/dashboard
    7. hhhm…hard for me to get everything on one page and would rather not post it here if that's OK.

    @Loselbs1959, thanks for the reply!

    For number 2, can you provide the name of the four accounts you're attempting to add, as they appear on the bank's website, please? We will also need number 7; the only data that we need to see is the bank's homepage after logging in (this is the Accounts Summary page), and you can redact any balances or account numbers if you'd like, it just needs to show the full URL in the URL bar at the top.

    I'm experiencing the exact same thing as well. All my other accounts (RBC, Tangerine), connect, no problem. But the EQBank one gives me a similar issue as this.

    As the OP stated, this was a recent event. Used to work fine.

    Thanks for ther response, Coach.

    So launching the simplifi site, I'm getting MFA prompts for all my other accounts except for EQ Bank.

    I go to the settings to force account reconnection

    After providing my credentials (and getting the code for MFA), i'm now greeted with the below error:
