Simpifi does not pick up Qualified Dividends. They are show as Cash Dividends in the Transaction Detail from Schwab statements. Also, the dates don't match with the brokerage statement.

This is the matching entry in my brokerage statement showing Qualified:

This is the brokerage history showing the Qualified Dividend $$ didn't hit my account until Nov 1.

Note, that the Action is a Qualified Dividend. I'm not sure what's going on, but this is another time consuming problem when putting together tax reports.

This is also another reason for the time consuming chore of changing all Investments to Payments. Since, even if we leave these transaction as an Income Dividend, it is still miss categorized since there is no Qualified Dividend option in Simplifi.

Hope this helps

I think a better answer here is to permit categories (and split categories) in investment transactions. A qualified dividend (or a substitute dividend or a non-qualified dividend or a 199A dividend, etc) are all “income dividend” type payments (or they could be “reinvestment dividend” type payments depending on the user’s set-up with their broker), just with different tax treatments due to their source. Permitting categories would solve this.
