Link reminders to transactions questions

I have a payment that I accidentally paid with my other checking account so it wasn’t matching the reminders in the account it was supposed to come out of…but when I tapped “link to transaction” in the account the reminder is in, it showed the transaction anyway…I assume that it was the right one…it’s not an amount from anything else. So does the “link to transaction” option work across accounts?? If so, that’s pretty handy! I hadn’t realized that!

Second question: kinda the reverse issue is also happening…bills showing in reminders AND in transaction activity but when I go to link the transactions…it doesn’t show in the dropdown so I cannot link them? What’s going on there?

    Yes, the ability to link recurring reminders to transactions across accounts is available in Quicken Simplifi. You'll see an account dropdown menu in the upper right of the Link Transaction window:

    If you're experiencing difficulties linking a reminder to a transaction because the transaction doesn't show in the list (as will always be the case for manual transactions, for example), you can link from the transaction directly instead:
