Chase credit card transaction dates

I have made this comment before but Simplifi doesn't seem to care that what is on the Simplifi software does not mirror what is going on at the bank, but just for my Chase credit cards. When transactions are in Pending status, the date associated with them on Simplifi is the transaction date that Chase uses when it posts the charges from Pending. However, on Simplifi, when the transactions move from Pending to Posted, Chase retains the date that appeared with it in Pending, but Simplifi changes it to whatever date it is that the account is updated. Why? All the pending charges on my Wells Fargo account and my Citicard Mastercard keep the date used in Pending when moved to Posted. Why doesn't it work that way for Chase on Simplifi? I am extremely tired of changing each transaction to the date matching the transactions on my Chase account. I thought that Simplifi was supposed to be mirroring my accounts exactly so that what is on the Simplifi software is what is actually happening. Change the posting of Chase transactions so that the date used in Pending is the date used in Posting. PLEASE!

    Hello @mllcpa,

    To help troubleshoot this, please provide more information. Have your Chase credit cards always behaved this way in Quicken Simplifi? If not, then when did you first notice this behavior? Do you have a manually input transaction or a reminder that the downloaded transaction is matching to?

    I look forward to your reply!

    1. Not only did Chase always behave this way on Simplifi, but all my banks behaved this way. I would have to change the dates on Wells Fargo, Citicard Mastercard and Chase. Then both Wells Fargo and Citibank started posting using the date that the bank used and I no longer had to change the dates for them. However, the Chase accounts always use the Simplifi posting date and not Chase's posting date for each charge transaction. The payments to my Chase accounts always appear using the correct date. I only have to change the charges.
    2. I'm not sure I understand your last question. I update my Simplifi accounts by hitting Refresh. Then I pull up my Chase accounts on my Chase app and compare what Chase shows to what Simplifi shows. Then I go through and change the date on each transaction on Simplifi so that it matches what Chase shows so that Simplifi is reflecting exactly what the bank shows. Is that what you mean?

    As a long time user, I can tell you that unless the transaction clears on day one, it will always change to the date it clears. This is true for all my credit cards including Chase, my local bank, Capital One. There is a request here somewhere to let us keep the date we enter or the pending date (as we can do in Classic). I upvoted it a while back.

    I just want my Simplifi record to match my bank record. I thought that's what the software is supposed to do, but it does not do that for Chase. It does it for other accounts, however, and so I believe that Simplifi can make it work for Chase transactions the same way it does for other banks.

    @mllcpa, thanks for the reply!

    Quicken Simplifi is designed to use the bank's posted date once the transaction clears. With Chase specifically, you have to click into the transaction on the bank's website to see the "posted date", whereas the "transaction date" is what's displayed in the list of transactions on the main page —

    When you click into the transaction details for a transaction on Chase's website, does the "posted date" match the date in Quicken Simplifi? If so, this would be by design, and is more unique to Chase itself since they list transactions with the "transaction date". I think most banks use the "posted date" when viewing the list of transactions on their website.
