Chase account multiplies pending balance by -1, does not save "balance type" preference

I've noticed some weirdness with my Chase checking account balance over the last several months, and I finally figured out what was going on. The specific issue was that the reported balance of my checking account did not match what was actually in the account.

There are two bugs at play:

  1. Simplifi is not saving my "balance type" preference for Chase bank. When I go to "Accounts > Chase > Checking > Edit Account" and change balance type to "Bank Balance (default)", the correct checking account value is shown, excluding pending balance. However, if I go back into that same edit flow, the option has reverted back to "Balance with pending". The incorrect balance will appear next time I log in, as if the setting has been reverted.
  2. When Simplifi considers pending charges for Chase, it treats pending debits as credits and pending credits as debits. For example, if I have $1,000 in my checking account and get a $400 direct deposit, Simplifi will show it as if I had $600, or ($1000 - $400), rather than the correct $1,400, or ($1000 + $400).

Please let me know if you need any more details. These bugs are consistent and repeatable, and the math works. Thank you!
