How Do I Show Pending Transactions?
Hi, everyone! For one of my bank accounts, pending transactions do not show, only cleared ones. How do I show the pending transactions. I want to be able to review them ASAP. I’ve heard that might be on the bank’s side, but what can I do to get this working? Thank you!

Hello @aastol,
Thanks for the reply! Quicken Simplifi is designed to download any pending bank transaction as long as they appear on your bank's website. However, it can take up to four to six hours from when the transaction appears to download into Quicken Simplifi. Are the transactions in question currently showing on your bank's website? Additionally, is the balance of the account currently counting the pending transactions in the balance?

Just to give you one user's perspective, for my Capital One Account, I go ahead and enter my pending transactions. On my other accounts, I wait to let them download. Usually they download the next time I update, but as Coach Jon says, it varies.
If you don't want to wait, you can enter them yourself and do your splits, if any. Simplifi almost always matches the download with your manual entry. If not, you can either merge them or delete the duplicate.
The point is that every bank is different, and it can vary from one day to another. On the whole, Simplifi works well downloading pending transactions, matching them and clearing them as needed. But it is never perfect.

Hello @aastol.
Thanks for reaching out! To better clarify your situation, can you let us know what financial institution the account is under? A few financial institutions, including Capital One, SoFi, and USAA, do not support the downloading of pending transactions.

Hi, @Coach Jon! It’s a smaller bank. Amarillo National Bank.

You are most welcome! I also use a smaller bank located in rural Alabama. It has a big name First US Bank, which makes me laugh because it makes you think it's a national bank, but it's a state bank that started off as the Bank of Thomasville, AL. The US stands for United Security. The Bank of West Alabama would make more sense.
OTOH, they have a nice web site and the downloads usually work. I had a problem for a while with Simplifi double counting things, which was happening also with one of my national banks. My little bank contacted me and they fixed it on their end. I use big banks like Capital One and Chase, but I always think it is a good thing to have a nice little local bank as well.
Hope you enjoy Simplifi.
