Extraneous "check numbers" in Citi checking transactions
I have two separate Citi checking accounts connected to Simplifi. In both of them, I have noticed that Simplifi is automatically and erroneously populating the "Check #" field for certain transactions. These transactions were all online transfers, not physical checks (either online ACH transfers or Zelle transfers), and I don't know where the "check numbers" came from. Some of the numbers are double digit numbers (such as "34"), and others are longer ten digit numbers that look like they could be account numbers. I don't see anything in the transaction description on my Citi account statements for these transactions from which Simplifi could be pulling these numbers.

Hello @ejs,
Thank you for reaching out! We will usually receive transactional information directly from the financial institution when transactions are downloaded. If you could supply a screenshot showing examples of these check numbers within Quicken Simplifi, this would further help us. Feel free to redact any personal information.
If your bank offers CSV file downloads, I would check to see if the file lists these numbers there as well. Let us know!

Thanks, @Coach Jon. I just checked the CSV file exported from my bank but the numbers do not appear there. Here is a screenshot of one example. I just noticed that it says the transaction was created by merging a pending and a cleared transaction — might that have something to do with it?

Hello @ejs,
Thanks for the screenshots. That is certainly strange. Since this is an OAuth bank, your user token may have expired. Let's have you try these steps:
- Navigate to the bank's website, sign in, and then remove Quicken's access from the bank's third-party linked apps.
- Navigate back to Quicken Simplifi and make the accounts manual.
- Then use the Add Account flow to get a completely fresh connection.
- Link the accounts found to the existing Quicken Simplifi accounts. Make sure that you are the owner of the account and that the account is not shared.
Afterward, I would keep an eye out to see if these transactions in the future continue to present these check numbers. Let us know how this goes!

@Coach Jon, thank you, I will try doing this and keep an eye on future transactions for extraneous check numbers.
