Is this emailed survey on behalf of Quicken legitimate?

I received an email offer to take a survey on behalf of Quicken, from a company called SMARI, and it is signed by "Mike York, Operations Director."

It offered a $5 Amazon gift card for doing so.

I took it, and did indeed receive an emailed link to get that gift card, but now want to double check if it is legit before clicking on any more hyperlinks.

I filled out the survey, and already received my $5 amazon gift card for taking it. As far as I know, it seemed legitimate. It asked a lot of questions, so be prepared to spend some time filling it out if you do.

  • Yes, I did receive the $5 emailed link - I did take the long survey.

I just found, after I posted this question, that another person also asked:

I agree with the sentiment that Quicken here at their website should have a findable answer to the search words "SMARI, survey, and Mike York"!
