Just getting back to testing the "Tax Report" feature:
- Report is not querying on the "Categories" that have tax forms selected. Rather, it seems to be querying on the "Tax Related" tag. This defeats the purpose of being able to designate "Categories" as having an association with taxes. IT IS NOT USEFUL TO REQUIRE THE USE OF A "TAX RELATED" TAG.
- Even with "Tax Related" Tag selected, data are ONLY presented from this year, NOT last year. If I need a tax report, it will most likely need to be from LAST YEAR. I have NO explanation for why the report from last year is empty. I would need to see your back end to troubleshoot that.
I don't mean to be hyper critical here, but writing queries to extract basic report data are not that complicated. I'm not sure how the design team is approaching this task.

Thanks for this information! I am not sure if you saw my previous message requesting specific information for this issue, but could you also provide the following information? We still need:
- Proof/Screenshots of tax-related transactions during that time range within Quicken Simplifi.
- Please check in a different browser/incognito mode as well as the Quicken Simplifi mobile application to verify if you see the issue there as well.

- Log into the Quicken Simplifi Web App.
- Select Profile from the left-hand navigation bar.
- With the Profile menu open, hold down the Option key for Mac or the Alt key for Windows, and then click Send Feedback.
- Leave all boxes checked, add a brief description of the issue, and then click Send.

@Coach Jon Do you have an ETA on this? It's tax time, and this report's tax file would be great to have. However, at this point, my trust level is way down, and I'll likely not use it to import into TurboTax. (Well, yes, I will into a TurboTax file copy out of couriousity.)

It looks like Coach Jon is still waiting for some logs to file an escalation for this issue. If you'd like to provide the data needed for the escalation, you are welcome to do so as well!
In addition to this info, we will need logs submitted via the 'Send Feedback' option:

Answers for @Coach Jon , in-line under your requests
- In order to get this organized and reported to our product team, we will need further information if you can please provide it:
- The specific date range you are using for your report where you see the issue.
- 1/1/2024 to 12/31/2024
- We will need proof/screenshots of tax-related transactions during that time range within Quicken Simplifi.
- See my previous posts in this thread, a lot there
- Any specific filters that have been applied within the report.
- Refer to my previous posts this thread. I tried every possible option. Summary, ONLY toggling a filter for Tags does the report populate. But that's useless as it's missing all entries that don't have tags. Toggling Tags with any combination of the other filters results in population, but again only those with tags….
- Screenshots showing the issue within the tax report in Quicken Simplifi.
- Ditto, see my previous posts, this thread. I provided a lot.
- Please check in a different browser/incognito mode as well as the Quicken Simplifi mobile application to verify if you see the issue there as well.
- I did that, as I explained previously. I got the same results in several PC browsers, privacy mode on and off, clearing cache, etc., and the same result in the iOS App.
- iOS > up to date, iPhone app up to date. Plenty of RAM
- PC system details > Windows 11, i7 14700k, 32 GB, RTX 3060, etc

@Coach Jon I have the same exact issues and gone through the same trouble shooting as @fcb and have posted images in this post as well.
Mac OS 15.3 using latest Chrome, Safari with Private browsing on and off.
per my previous posts, I know I have data last year as setting the Report to Last 6 Months results in data. No data shown when selecting "Last Year". Additional troubleshooting I went through:
- Set to Last 6 Months: data found
- Manually changed End date to Dec 31 24, data found
- Manually set Start Date month back by 1 month Aug 1 24: data found
- Set start dates back by one month and data was found until I set start date to March, this is when the no results message was returned.
- fyi I have data starting in 2021
I've also submitted feedback via Send Feedback in the Profile button of QS
Are you @Coach Jon @Coach Natalie or engineers at QS not able to reproduce this issue?

Thanks for the requested information! I noticed in your screenshots that the tax-related transactions had custom categories. Are all the transactions that are missing using these custom categories, or are default tax-related categories missing as well from the report?

1 - all transactions are missing only for 2024
2 - for other periods, all categories that are associated with a "Tax Form/Line Item) do show up correctly in the Taxes Report. And in many Line Items, there are multiple categories pointing to that same Tax Line Item. That all works as expected, just not for 2024
3 - Many of the categories are custom, including those linking to a Tax Line Item. No clue which is custom or not, other than my business categories which are all custom. I'm NOT on P&B.

Hey @Coach Jon,
Disposition of problem has changed since Version: 4.47.0. Now, the report tries to run, but the spinning "wait" circle appears and never stops and no result is shown. This is indication to me that perhaps your team is making progress but they are using testing data that are too small and lacking sufficient variables. -gp

FWIW, Tax Report 2023 which used to produce nothing now works for me as does 2024 and so far in 2025. So progress has been made. I assume 2021 and 2022 still work as well but haven't checked. I should not need them again.
Edit: I decided not to be lazy and check out 2021 & 2022. And they work as well. So 4.47.0 fixed it for me.
It also works on mobile (iPhone) for me. I rarely use the app so I have to remember to check it. I do like how clean the report looks on the app.

Well, seems like Eng is doing something. Before I would instantly get the no results message. This morning I'm getting the spinning wheel, but it doesn't stop. Same if I select 2023.
FWIW, I tried mobile and 2024 is not showing but the last 6 months does show.

On mobile, this year works, last year I get zip. I can't check the previous years as the filter goes awol.
Only by force quiting the app does the filter reappear.

On the desktop, I get the spinning wheel for 2024.
2025 and 2023 works.

Started the report - went to lunch - still wasn't finished when I returned (still looking like it was processing). And this was only data from this year. Same result with last year (2024) selected. Feedback logs sent 02/24/2025 at 16:00

Our product team is issuing a possible fix for this issue with the release of version 4.48.0 of Quicken Simplifi. Can you please verify if this issue is still persisiting for you after that release and let us know?
