Rollover Spending Notifications

For categories with rollover, notifications are not received for the total monthly amount + rollover, but rather only for the monthly amount.

    Hello @TiggerTrainer,

Thanks for reaching out! To better assist us, can you clarify what you are reporting and provide screenshots showing an example of this behavior in Quicken Simplifi? This will help us better understand what specifically is happening here.

I will have to wait until I get another notification to be able to provide a screenshot.

    To further explain:

If in January your budget is $50 and you only spend $25 then you have $25 that will rollover to the following month. Then in February, the notification for getting close to the total available spending amount is sent based off the $50 monthly amount, rather than the $75 total that is available. Let me know if this doesn't clarify.

I received a notification showing what I was trying to describe. This is both in the app and on the web browser.

I have a rollover amount for auto insurance. You will see that the notification is stating that I overspent, but per the rollover I clearly had enough in the category. This is the bug I was trying to describe earlier. I hope the screenshot helps @Coach Jon.

    Hello @TiggerTrainer,

Thanks for the screenshot. This wouldn't be a bug in this case. The notifications are going off of the budgeted amount, not the budgeted amount plus the rollover amount. I would suggest creating an idea post that other users could also vote on, requesting that rollover amounts be included in the notification settings. Users could then follow that post for updates on when or if that idea could be implemented.

Thank you for the update. Wouldn’t this be expected functionality because your true budget would be the budgeted amount + any rollover? Was this really looked over by the developers?

    Hello @TiggerTrainer,

Thanks for the reply. I don't know if it was looked over by the product team or not, but it is currently the intended design in Quicken Simplifi. Creating an idea post and having other users vote on the idea could allow the product team to gauge interest in changing this, however.
