Robinhood doesn't show total balance anymore

I’ve had my Robinhood account connected to Simplifi for a while, but I noticed a change over the past couple of days (around February 2, 2025). The dashboard and net worth now only show the cash balance in my Robinhood account, and no longer reflect the value of the stocks I've invested in. The balance displayed under the Robinhood account currently matches my "buying power" in Robinhood, but it completely ignores the value of the stocks I already own. This is different from how Simplifi worked before. As a result, the net worth shown on the dashboard is inaccurate (has dropped significantly), and the Robinhood balance in Simplifi now looks much lower than it should.

Hello @vchan,
Thanks for reaching out! The balance displayed for your connected Investment Accounts in the Accounts List is provided by your Financial Institution(s). In contrast, the balance displayed in the Investments tab is based on the market value of your holdings with the latest pricing information.
This information may differ depending on when the connected accounts were last refreshed, as well as when your financial institution(s) receive their updated share prices. Are both balances incorrect for you within Quicken Simplifi? In that case, I would try a fresh connection. You can make the accounts manual and then use the Add Account flow to get a completely fresh connection. If the connection is successful, you'll then want to link the accounts to your existing Quicken Simplifi accounts.

@Coach Jon I haven’t made any changes to my account. Previously, the balance shown under Accounts > Investments > Brokerage > Robinhood reflected the total balance in my Robinhood account. This is how it appeared until February 2, 2025. However, the recent change is that it now only displays the balance equivalent to my buying power within Robinhood (essentially, the uninvested cash balance) rather than the total account value.
I can still click on Robinhood (within Simplifi) and access different tabs like the Portfolio tab, which shows the market value, and the Balances tab, which shows the uninvested cash balance. My point is that the "Accounts" section on the main page used to show the combined amount of the Portfolio and Balances tabs. Now, it only reflects the Balances tab as my total Robinhood account balance, which reduces my net worth by the value of the Portfolio tab, which is incorrect.

Hello @vchan,
Thanks for the reply. As I stated prior, the balance shown in the Accounts list is provided by your financial institution. Our support article goes over how investment balances are calculated in more detail here:
Did you try the above steps I provided to re-link the account to see if this works in setting the balance correctly?
Let us know how that goes!

I am having this issue too, but I have no cash in my account so the balance shows $0.00.
The market value in the Investments tab is correct.

@Coach Jon Re-linking didn't help. Issue persists.

I did the "Reset Connection" option from Settings —> Accounts and it brought back the investment amounts. I recommend doing that.

Hello @polygirl17,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that worked for you. @rogerh, @vchan, @Oleksander, Does doing this work for you as well? If not, can you please provide screenshots showing the differences in balances from what Robinhood is reporting?

@Coach Jon @polygirl17's method worked! I had tried making it manual before and then reconnecting with no luck, so I'm surprised resetting in a different way worked.

I was about to try the suggestion @polygirl17 gave, but the issue resolved itself when I logged in this time.
