QBP: Leave Invoice Item Descriptions Blank (edited)

Within Quicken Simplifi Business and Personal, I can create invoices. It would be preferred when adding an item or "charge" to a customer, the Item itself populate with the product we have added. However, it would be nice if the "description" remained blank and would not carry over the memorized version from the last time the Item was used. Instead, leave that blank for a user to type in any item details for each line item added.

At present, this can only be done through the Memo, and it's not ideal.

Better if description is left blank and let us type in any details related to that line Item.

@robertanthony87, thanks for posting your suggestion to the Community!

I have turned this into an Idea post so other users can vote on it and our product team can review it. We appreciate you sharing enhancement requests for QBP with us!

  • Thanks Natalie. I might also mention, the "Description" at present doesn't ever drop down a line, but continues on as a long run on. It might be useful to have that field only be allowed so large so the text "returns" on enter or automatically, as, say, it does on this form.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
