can i stop automatic recurring series creation

Can i turn off automatic detection and creation of recurring series completelty? I absolutely hate this "feature" and do not want it, I spend way too much time cleaning up incorrect recurring transactions. I am not interested in this feature in the first place, I only want to manually create my recurring transactions. Ty

Hello @Js,
Thanks for reaching out! While there is not a way to turn off this setting, since it is built into Quicken Simplifi, you can change the Amount Matching settings to allow for a more specific frequency. To change the Amount Matching settings for a Recurring Series, you may do so from the Settings section. Once in the Create or Edit Series window, you'll see a Match Criteria field. The options are as follows:
- Auto Match: This setting delegates the matching process to Quicken Simplifi, using its predefined criteria. While it attempts to select the appropriate matching based on the bill type, it may not always be accurate. Consider using specific criteria for more control.
- Any Amount: Transactions with any dollar amount can be linked to the Series as long as the Payee matches. Ideal for bills like utilities or credit cards that vary in amount but consistently use the same Payee.
- Exact Amount: Set a specific amount for Quicken Simplifi to use when linking transactions to the Series. Perfect for cases where the Payee is used for other expenses but the Recurring Bill remains constant.
- Limited Range: Quicken Simplifi will use a 30% variance of the amount set for the Series (15% above and 15% below) when linking transactions to the Series. Beneficial for bills that may experience occasional changes, such as subscription prices changing over time.
I hope this helps!

Hi Js
Try this, select either the Payee or Category fields for any given transaction you will see top of the dropdown menu or name selection list the option to "Create a rule…" Deselect this option and see if that helps.
