Transactions Rules for Manual transactions

Hi. Why will my rules not work for manual transactions? For whatever reason, Simplifi will not sync with my bank and associated credit card. So, I have to manually enter all my transactions. Whenever I create a rule to apply a category, it will not work. Seems completely useless when almost all my transactions have to be entered manually, since Simplifi won't sync with my bank. Very frustrating!

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. Does this happen only with manual accounts? Does this happen only for category rules, or do you also see it happen with payee rules?
When you are creating the rule, are you making sure to select "Apply rule to existing transactions"? Is it listing any existing transactions, or is it blank, like in the screenshot below?

I wanted to follow up here to let you know that Transaction Rules do not apply to manual transactions. This is mentioned in our support article here:
Unfortunately, I don't have an elegant solution to suggest. You will have to manually apply the Payee and Category when creating the transaction. You can, however, vote for our existing request for the ability to use Transaction Rules or Quickfill on manual transactions!
