MFA requests on web app use the default institution name instead of the custom one (edited)

My wife and I have three separate accounts with the same bank - my account, her account, and our shared account. When I get an MFA request on desktop, I can't tell which account it's coming from because the institution is the same for all three.
I don't have this problem on the android app because the custom institution name I have set for each account in Settings → Accounts is what appears in the MFA request. This is just a problem for the web app.

Hello @johnmollberg,
Thanks for reaching out! I do not beleive this is a bug, since when you connect your bank to Quicken Simplifi, your accounts with that bank are updated every time you sign in. However, if you wish to adjust when a specific account updates within Quicken Simplifi this support article goes into more detail on how to do this:

@Coach Jon I have no problem with the frequency of the MFA requests, we just can't tell which one is which from the web app. When my wife logs in, she will authenticate her account. When I log in, I will authenticate mine. We can do this perfectly well using the mobile app, but since I can't see which account the MFA request is coming from on the web app, it's impossible to know what MFA requests for me to send and which to leave for my wife.

I guess this isn't technically a bug so much as a feature that exists in the mobile app and behaves differently in the web app.

Hello @johnmollberg,
Thanks for the reply. From your screenshot, it appears that the account being updated is behind the MFA pop-up. Is this not the case for you?

It was in that specific instance, but I can't always tell. Take a look at this screenshot. Both accounts produce MFA pop ups that are identical

Hello @johnmollberg,
Thanks for the screenshot. I still do not believe this is a bug. The MFA pop-ups will be similar for both of the accounts in that screenshot since they appear to be from the same financial institution. I am sorry I can't be of more help here.

On the web app, the default institution name is displayed in the MFA request pop up. On mobile, the custom one that I set for each account is displayed. See the two screenshots in my original post; on web it just says "Affinity Plus FCU" whereas on mobile it says "Jenn - Affinity Plus FCU Multi Fact…" so I can tell the difference

Hello @johnmollberg,
When comparing the screenshots you originally sent, I can see the account's name in both. You did say that this was the case for this specific instance, but you cannot always tell. If you can provide a screenshot where this is not true, we can see if we can investigate further.

I see how that could be confusing. I included that account name just as context to show that it should be showing something different. Let me try explaining again.
When I open the Simplifi webpage in a fresh session, I get brought straight to my dashboard, where all accounts are listed. A series of MFA requests begins taking place for all of the accounts we have - Venmo, Credit Cards, etc. Three of the accounts that begin MFA requests are all at the same institution - Affinity Plus FCU.
When these MFA requests for Affinity Plus come up on the webapp, there is no indication as to which MFA request is for which account. I don't want to initiate the requests that will send texts to my wife's phone, because she's off somewhere else! I just want to initiate the requests that will go to my phone. Since I can't tell the difference between the requests, I decline to initiate any of the requests.
See in my screenshot one of these three requests that came up with no prompting when I opened the dashboard. I have no way to determine which account I'm authenticating, as there is no account name or custom institution name visible in the pop up.
This experience is different than what is on mobile. On mobile, I open the app and (just like the web app) am brought to my dashboard and a series of MFA requests begin. The difference is that here, I can tell the difference between the MFA requests because my custom institution name for each account is visible in the MFA pop up. Hence, I can initiate the two of the MFA requests that will go to my phone (my personal account and our shared account), and skip just the request for my wife's account.

Hello @johnmollberg,
In this case, I would still suggest adjusting when one of those specific accounts that send texts to your partners phone updates, so that when you do access the web application only the accounts set to update at that time actually update and prompt MFA.
Otherwise, it might be better to submit an idea post requesting the ability to see the account names during the MFA prompt in the Quicken Simplifi web application.

I guess that's what I thought I was doing with this thread. Classify it however you like, I just am pointing out an inconsistency between platforms that makes using the platform harder.

Hello @johnmollberg,
Thanks for the reply. I would suggest creating a new post for your idea, since this thread is more about whether this is a bug or not.
Then, other users will be able to see the idea and vote for and follow it for updates if they choose.
