Remove the 1000 Limit for Transaction Rules (edited)

The 1000 rule limit should be eliminated. If you download all of your account transactions and you want them to look nice you can get to 1000 pretty quickly.
Also Simplifi should stop making duplicate rules that waste so many of our precious transactions. For example if you download a transaction that says collegeboard and make a rule to rename that College Board then later you download a new transaction and it says college board and you make a rule, it will make a duplicate rule for the exact same payee and category. Instead it should simply add the keyword to the existing rule. Rules allow many different keyword sets, use that feature!
To make matters worse it is very difficult to find and elimiate these duplicate rules once you hit the 1000 rule limit. You cannot sort by payee. Nor can you export a list of the rules or anything like that. You cannot image the life I now must live hunting these duplicate rules and cleaning them up to get back down below 1000 and keep it there!
Why is the 1000 rule limit so "limiting" well, once you hit 1000, Simplifi starts ignoring your oldest rules and only looks at the 1000 newest rules. This gets you some very unexpected results. You start adding more and more rules for the exact same things just exaserbating your over 1000 problem even more. It is an amazing life let me tell you.
I really hope this can be fixed soon. I have reported it to tech support many times and they have sent it to the developers but nothing happens. I am now being told this is a feature request not a bug report. So let me try posting it here too. Please save me from this life of endless rule pruning!

@ZackLester,
Just to make sure you know. If you uncheck this box when renaming your Payee, Simplifi won’t try to remember it. I believe this box defaults to its last state (checked/unchecked). This checkbox can be annoying and has tripped me up multiple times.
Interesting that there’s a 1,000 rule limit. I didn’t know that. I’ve only got 156.Chris

Yes, I know. I am OCD and like my payees to be like "McDonalds" instead of "mcdonalds #34" so I make rules for just about every transaction. I dreamed of Simplifi downloading and renaming and catagorizing everything perfectly automatically. Then along came the 1000 rule limit.

@ZackLester, thanks for posting your suggestion to the Community!
Since you want to outline and request just one suggestion or enhancement per Idea post, I have edited this Idea post to the 1000 limit specifically. For the issue with duplicate Transaction Rules, it looks like Chat Support recommended an Idea post for the ability to merge Transaction Rules. You can create a new Idea post to request this part specifically!
Otherwise, I would recommend not creating a new Rule from transactions directly if you know you have an existing Rule in place. Personally, if I notice that a Transaction Rule does not apply to a transaction, I would navigate to Settings > Rules and identify how I need to edit the existing Rule to make it work.
Creating a new Rule from a transaction does just that — it creates a new one. Though I agree that it would be nice if the system identified existing Transaction Rules to combine the new one with automatically.
I hope this helps!

I have less than 100 rules, I did not even know that a rule limit existed. Thanks for posting this feature request.

I would imagine the rule module in Simplifi would become pretty complex and unsustainable with that many rules. I get a bit confused with 156. Do you have a lot of duplicates @ZackLester ?
