Recurring Transfer History does not display in the series details if the recurring amount is $0

I have a Lowe's credit card payment set up as a recurring transfer series for $0. We don't have a balance on that account every month, but I want the reminder to prompt me to pay it when we do. Also, with the new bill connect, I want the balance to show up in the cash flow once the statement cuts if there is a balance.

I noticed recently that when opening the series from one of the linked transactions that no history was showing. I originally tried unlinking transactions and relinking with no change. I just deleted the series and recreated it since there were only a handful of transactions linked so far and the history was still not showing after linking transactions. My two theories were that it was related to either being $0 or the bill connect feature. Since my other bill connect ones look right, I tested the $0 theory by changing the series to $0.01, and voila, the history appeared instantly.

I have a couple of recurring expenses also set at $0 and those show history correctly, so this appears to be isolated to recurring transfers for $0.

Thank you for letting us know that you're also impacted by this issue. While there isn't a Community Alert for it, I can see that the issue has already been reported. We do not currently have an ETA for when the issue will be corrected.

While waiting for the issue to be fixed, using a value other than $0 for the recurring reminder is the work around.

@Coach Natalie This is not resolved. I just changed my Lowe's recurring amount from $0.01 to $0.00 to test this and the history still disappears - the History shows "Blank Slate!" message instead of the actual transaction history. As soon as I change it back to $0.01 the history displayed again. One thing I did notice while testing is that the next reminder changes incorrectly when I change it to $0.00 as well. This transfer has Bill Connect enabled and the next payment due 4/4 has the correct amount when the series is set to $0.01. When I change the series to $0.00, the next reminder changes to 6/4 for $0.00 (i.e. skips the April & May reminders). This also resolves when changing the amount back to $0.01. I also tested and confirmed that the series match criteria does not appear to be a factor as I got the same results with Any Amount, Exact Match & Auto Match.

@Coach Natalie Thanks for the update! I'm not sure this is fixed yet, although there might be another issue now too. I still am not seeing the history on the series until I set the amount to $0.01 - no history showing yet when set to $0.00. I'm now also seeing a duplicate of the series in Bills & Income, but I think they may be linked somehow so I haven't deleted either of them. When I changed the amount on one the first time it changed the amount on both, and I could only see the history on one of them. But then when I changed the amount again, it only changed the amount on one of them but rolled the date forward on the other one. I can't tell if it's an issue or just an odd behavior with the bill connect on this particular series. I don't have the time to prioritize troubleshooting on this one at the moment, so will monitor the behavior for the next month or two. If there's anything specific you need from me, let me know and I will try to get that for you.

When testing in my own Quicken Simplifi, I can confirm that the issue with $0 recurring transfer series not showing history has been fixed.

With that, it sounds like you may have something going on with the recurring series itself. I'd recommend ending the current series (this will retain all linked history) and then setting up a new one to use moving forward.

Please let us know if the new series works as expected in retaining history when the amount is set to $0!
