Hello @nicko,
Great suggestion!
I have gone ahead and turned this into an Idea post so that other Users can vote on it. Please be sure to add your vote as well!

Yes PLEASE add this! I add notes to all my amazon, apple, and random transactions, then I can't tell what they are for in the spending plan section. Please add the ability to edit columns so we can remove "tags" and view "notes". Thank you!0

It almost looks like there is an error with the view because if you select the gear icon which is for the column and settings, it looks like Notes is selected as a field that should show up but doesn't. Please fix or add for all views, including planned and other spending.0

@nicko, not that I'm aware of. As soon as any news becomes available, we'll be sure to update this request accordingly. 🙂

I'm sure this cannot be a new idea, but it would really be nice to have a notes column within each category of your spending plan. I like to plan my budget a month out. Like others, I estimate what I am going to spend. For example, I may plan to play hockey 5 times this month at $20 a game. It would be nice to add a note reminding me of how I calculated that expense.

I would like to see Notes in the Spending plan register. Not sure if this was the original intent of this post so I've added an image to what I would like to see.
Below is shot from the register of the Spending Plan.
@Coach Natalie let me know if there is a different request for this or if this post is what you interpret as "add notes". I see a similar request to add Notes to Reports where I have upvoted.

It would be incredibly helpful to have the ability to add notes to Planned Spending items within the Spending Plan.
For example, I occasionally budget a specific amount under a general category like “Other” or “Various” to cover multiple smaller, upcoming expenses that don’t need their own dedicated categories (e.g., a birthday gift, decorations, or extra groceries). Being able to open the Planned Spending item and see a note with a breakdown of how I planned to allocate that money would help me stay organized and ensure the funds are used as intended.
For now, a simple text box field within each Planned Spending item would suffice. This would provide a quick and easy way to reference and adjust planned spending without requiring major changes to the interface. This feature would make the Spending Plan more flexible and useful, especially for managing irregular or grouped expenses.
