How Do I Hide Pending Transactions?

I seem to remember that there was an option to ignore pending transactions, but I can't find it. Maybe I'm thinking of the balance with and without pending? The pending transactions a nothing but a nuisance, I cannot categorize them without the categorizations changing when the transaction posts and the pending transactions show on the Spending Plan which is not my goal. (I tend to see all kinds of pending transactions that never post.)

Is there a way to sync only the posted transactions?

Hi,

You can use the carat to the left where it says Pending in the Register in order to "hide" them, but they are still there. There is no way to stop from downloading Pending Transactions if your bank downloads them (at least of which I am aware).

What you can do is just delete them if you don't want to fool with them. If you do this, QS will not subtract them from your current balance, so keep that in mind.

They will download again when they clear. So you will get them back.

Also be aware that some banks may download the pending transactions a second time. This isn't usual but I have one bank that downloads the pending again the next day if it hasn't cleared (using a debit card transaction).

Understood, I delete regularly, but at some point this could be automated via an option in settings.

Sometimes I wish I could turn off pending transactions. Usually when I split them and categorize them though, they stay. When my bank downloads a duplicate, I delete that one.

I haven't had the trouble that some report of subsequent downloads undoing my categorizations and/or splits.

I have the same need. I usually just minimize the section every time I go to categorize my transactions. And then if I add or remove a filter, I minimize it again. And again when I search. And again when I exit a search.

I don't want to delete them because sometimes I do refer to them (even though I prefer to categorize and mark reviewed after they clear.)

Honestly it wouldn't bother me if Simplifi remembered the minimized state of the Pending section. (Yes, I know there is an idea for it out there, and yes, I've already voted for it.)
