Ability to choose which connected accounts get updated (edited)
There are certain bank/institution accounts linked to my Simplifi that I don't need to update frequently, investments in particular. However, Simplifi has no option to allow updating for individual only when you choose to, not automatically. IMHO that would be an improvement, particularly for my wife, who gets flustered when a pop-up demands you to enter a 2XFA code from text or email.

Simplifi updates accounts every time I launch the app, but I don't need to update all accounts all the time when I know some will have very infrequent changes. +100 for this request by @jfmclaugh!
The positive side effect of this is decreasing unnecessary aggregator traffic to the financial instructions, and in turn, improving reliable connectivity for all of us.1 -
I agree. The same is now true for Amex accounts, which require double authentication. I only need to do it once per day except in unusual cases.

I was going to enter this as a feature request but found it was already entered so I upvoted it. A couple of my accounts always prompt for MFA, which is secure but also annoying since they happen to be savings and investment accounts which fluctuate less. I would be fine with only updating them a couple times a month. For now I switched them to manual, but I would love to be able to do an automatic update "on demand", or maybe specify in the account settings how often to update.

I really wish this was an option. I have a few accounts like mortgage loans that I only need to update once a month, but every time I refresh I get a MFA email or text for them.

This is a no brainer. Come on, Simplifi you can do better.

100% desperately want this. Every time I open the app I am bombarded with MFA emails from accounts that I really don't need updated. I want to be able to disable automatic refresh on these accounts. It really dissuades me from even logging into the app unless I REALLY need/want to. It's very frustrating.

Bumping this request since this is something that should be implemented, otherwise automatic refresh for many of us simply fails each night and we get error messages in the morning.

When CHASE accounts update outside of banking hours, due to issues with the way Chase updates during those times, Quicken Simplifi balances can become wrong (especially if manual transactions were entered). Many banks disallow connections during certain hours from what I have seen, and I think the Chase connection should BLOCK similarly during non-banking hours (say outside of 9am-5pm ET m-f except maybe holidays if that's reasonable).
Advantage: The balances should always be right, assuming transactions are entered manually outside of those hours.
Disadvantage: People who only use quicken simplifi on evenings (or early mornings) and weekends may not be able to update at all.
If you are NOT a Chase customer, please do NOT vote on this idea post - I'd like to get an idea how other Chase customers here feel. I understand if this is demoted from a voting idea post for whatever reason.

To be clear, this is NOT the same as my idea. My idea is not for manual updating, my idea is blocking outside of banking hours. This is because of a Simplifi bug which causes badly incorrect balances overnight and on weekends.

I've been noticing weird things with Chase, especially recently. But I'd prefer if they could somehow fix the issues with Chase (but I don't know if that's possible).
I do usually log in during the evening so that could be an issue unless Simplifi can update in the background without me opening the app (another useful idea I think).

I'd prefer to be able to download even with current behavior (I just added to another post on this before I saw this question). I generally check the balance to the Chase app anyway. I haven't tried different approaches yet, but maybe if Simplify just doesn't consider pending transactions at all, it would alleviate the issue? I'm not ready to go with the sledgehammer approach on this.
And why would a download be impacted by a bank's office hours? Sounds a little 1987 to me.

This would be useful for accounts that don't change frequently and require two-factor every time.
