I do almost everything for finances on my laptop where I feel far more secure in preserving my information and identity. Still, I did try the app and the "Income & Expense" report isn't even listed; The only options under "Reports" are: Total Spending; Spending by Month Income; Net Income by Month; Savings; Net Worth; Monthly Summary, Credit Score, Taxes; Refund Tracker. I thought maybe the "Net Income By Month" would be the same as the "Income & Expense" report and, yes, it appears to be the same. Curious that Quicken would mix up the names across platforms, but…..
The problem also shows up on a desktop running the latest WIN11 Pro and Firefox.
As an aside, I turned off both my VPN and anti-virus although I have no idea how each one of them would possible affect only a SINGLE report on Simplifi. Can you please explain how that might happen? Also, wouldn't it be a REALLY BAD IDEA for a financial site to block use of such tools?
Note: I also use a FF extension which deletes cache and cookies when a tab is closed so I don't carry over those remnants from one logon to the next.

@BlueGrits, you just need to turn on Early Access to use the Income & Expense Report (it replaces the Net Income Report):
I hope this helps!

SUCCESS!!
When i went to my "General" tab under "Settings", I saw this:
I turned early access to OFF, then saw the chart "Net Income" (instead of "Income & Expense") and it was working perfectly. Just to check, I tried toggling the Early Access on/off and verified that the reports changed names each time and that the failure only occurred when Early Access is set to ON.
THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!

When I look at report Income & Expenses, all categories and subcategories are fully expanded. I don't need to see such levels of detail and certainly not the subcategories. I know I can compress each row by clicking on the arrows but it doesn't remain a persistent change. Each time I view the report all rows (including sub categories) are fully expanded. I would like to have the default of fully compressed so the report a only a few rows and allow me to expand to examine the details when desired.

This could be to carry the compressed for the session or can be set as an option to show as compressed or expaneded. Alot programs use this compressed and expaned, just as Outlook.

The Income and Expense Report is laid out very nicely, is easy to read and really easy to work with. Hopefully, these report standards will be in all the various current and forth coming reports. Very Nice Simplifi Developers and Program Manager(s). Very nice.

The 12 month view of the Income and Expense report doesn't fit horizonally on the screen of my monitor, which is pretty large. It's not doing a good job setting the width of the page to the screen.
The horizontal scroll bar is awkwardly at the bottom of the report, but you have to scroll all the way down in order to them use the scroll bar to scroll horizontally.
if you collapse all the sections hoping to reduce vertical scrolling, the sections collapse but the vertical size of the report doesn't change and the horizonal scroll bar stays all the way at the bottom.
also, it would be great to have a Collapse All button. I would even vote for starting with a fully collapsed state as the default.

Hi @Kseniya a couple of ideas:
Check your zoom settings. In Chrome, I have to be at 80% to fit the 12-month Income and Expense report to my screen.
At any zoom level above 80% I have to scroll to see all months. You should be able to use your mouse to scroll without having to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the page. If you are using a laptop with a touchpad, usually dragging two fingers across the touchpad will engage the scrolling function. If it's a desktop machine, your mouse should have a scrolling function that will allow you to scroll left to right or right to left.
As far as "collapse all" or fully collapsed as the default, if such a feature request doesn't already exist, you can create a feature request to give others a chance to vote on the idea and bring it to the attention of the development team.

The horizontal scroll bar is awkwardly at the bottom of the report, but you have to scroll all the way down in order to them use the scroll bar to scroll horizontally.
I think you are talking about the fact that the panel that shows the lines of data in the report is automatically sized so that you can either see the Month column headings at the top of the screen (Jan, Feb, etc.) or you can scroll down and see the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen. But you can't see both at the same time.
Unfortunately, this will always happen, no matter what zoom you use. (Unless you zoom down so far that you don't need a horizontal scroll bar.) Simplifi always auto-adjusts the panel height to be just a bit too tall to show both the column headers and the horizontal scroll bar at the same time. (It does this even if there are only a few lines of data and the rest is blank space.)
I reported this and asked that the data panel be made just a smidge shorter so that it will fit vertically on the screen. But I was told that since I can scroll up to see the headings or down to see the horizontal scroll bar it is not really a bug. (See discussion below.) So lots of people would have to complain to get it changed.

Ya know what @DryHeat? You're right about the header visibility issues in the data panel for the Income & Expense report. I misread what @Kseniya was saying above. I just reread your original conversation about this problem. I use Edge (basically chrome) and I have the same issue. I checked Chrome… same. I checked in Duck Duck Go and it's the same.
In the other report windows the data panel headers stay visible all the way down as you scroll to the bottom of the panel. But in the Income & Expense report the data panel headers disappear as you scroll toward the bottom of the page.
This is the case whether the data are collapsed or fully displayed. If I scroll to the bottom of the page the headers across will scroll off the screen as I approach the bottom of the page. It's also not a matter of being able to see all the data since indeed I can scroll to the last line but when I do so, I lose the headers, and this is unique to this one panel in this one report.
@Coach Jon I want to add my voice to this issue. If not a bug, it's a design flaw that seems correctable.

I know this has been brought up before but since that discussion is closed, I wanted to circle back to this issue.
@Kseniya also points out the issue in this comment:
In this screen recording you can see that in the data panel for the Income & Expense report there is a problem with not being able to see the months in the header when you scroll down to the bottom of the pane to see the last few lines and the scroll bar located at the bottom of the pane.
These are both (header and footer) fixed elements in this pane I believe and should be visible no matter where you are at when scrolling through the actual data. At the very least the Months in the header should remain in view when scrolling to the bottom of the pane.
I'm certain that this can be fixed which will greatly enhance the user experience of the Income & Expense report.

We have net incomes for each month at the bottom of the report. Below that can we add the old net income bar chart back please?

This is great! This new report is almost everything that I hoped for and eliminates the need to export data to create a Pivot table. Also happy that this report can be exported and we can choose format of csv, excel or pdf!
One additional request is the ability to compare current year to prior year, or several prior years using a custom date range. (similar to functionality in QuickBooks)

@Coach Natalie , I am following up about the bug in the Income and Expense report whereby income/expense transactions within Other Liability accounts aren't being picked up in the report. It seems that the Income and Expense report was released from Early Access to production, but that bug still isn't fixed. Releasing this report in the production environment with this bug and without notifying users will cause them to obtain inaccurate results in the report (such as missing expenses transacting through Other Liability accounts).

@JeffCB, thanks for the feedback!
I checked on the ticket for the issue with Other Liability Accounts not showing in the Income & Expense Report, and I see that it is still open and being worked on. As soon as our product team gets a fix in, it will be implemented in the program. In the meantime, you may consider using a different account type as a workaround.
Thank you for your continued patience!

Thanks @Coach Natalie. Agree that I can use a different account type as a workaround, but other users won't be aware of this and as a result will get incorrect results in the report if they are using Other Liability account types.

It looks like the issue mentioned in your comment (and in my earlier post which was closed some time ago) — namely that the data panel in certain reports is too tall to fit on the screen — has been fixed as of web release 4.76.0. You can now see the headers and the horizontal scroll bar at the same time.

The Income & Expense Report is now live in Early Access on the Mobile App, and is expected to be released to all users on the Mobile App in the next couple of weeks. This Report will replace the Net Income by Month Report.
