Position the selection for the category at the one selected.

Normally when I want to change a category I want to set it to a sub category. It would be helpful if Simplifi would to this like Mint did. For instance, if the category was automatically set to Travel, I may want to change it to Travel→Hotel. I less often change a category to a different top-level category.

Thanks for reaching out! I am unsure how Mint operated, but in Quicken Simplifi, you can already change a transaction's category to an existing subcategory.

If you are suggesting that it should be easier to find a subcategory that aligns with an existing category in a transaction when editing, then I think you might want to consider voting for the following idea post:
