Historical addition of planned spend expense categories with roll-over carry-through. (edited)

I'd like to request Simplifi add the capability to add expense categories in past months and have them carry through (roll over balances) to subsequent months—even if those months are historical—all the way to the current month. This would help in cases of the need to separate budgets after-the-fact when it becomes clear that a singular expense/budget category isn't adequate for separating expenses. This should be possible with modern programming technology.
