Some of my accounts have moved over, meaning COF still has a ways to go to digest all our accounts. Currently, my $97 balance is $18,500, or so in QS.
This should be very entertaining.
Hang on coaches !!! hahaha
Thought I would post what I did to make Discover Work with Simplifi Here is what I did that worked seamlessly.
Thanks… I'll give that a try.
To #5, a credit card debit.
@neon45, official steps to migrate your Discover accounts to Capital One can be found here:
Let us know if this works for you!
When selecting the institutions, the Capital One credit card options are: Capital One, Capital One 360 and zzz Capital One Card - Current.
Which one to use, or does it matter? since they have named it the Capital One Discover the Chrome
@neon45, you can select whichever one you prefer, but any with a "zzz" means the instance is discontinued, so you won't want to use that one.
I hope this helps!
Do the instructions above also work for those using regular old Quicken Deluxe?
After spending some time on the phone with Cap One I found out that only the credit card has come over. The banking side, money market and CD's will be at a later date. Also, there will be hairballs. They are still using the Discover computers and transitioning that data to the CapOne computers.
I did manage to get my credit card over to QS, with all but the last 2 transactions. Hopefully, that will straighten out after the computers settle down. What is interesting is that QS shows my Balance w/pending at $18,500. In real life it's a tich over $100.
Somehow my Discover money market increased by 225% :)))) Wish I could spend it. More hairballs.
QS is showing the "Account Disconnected" and no reconnect options. The only option is Make Manual. Assuming making it manual and reconnecting it, if possible?
Thanks..
@thisisannoying, if you're using Quicken Classic, you'll want to reach out to their Support team or Community.

I hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction!
@neon45, thanks for the information!
If Capital One stated that some of your accounts have not been migrated yet, you may need to wait for them to become available on the Capital One API before you can connect them in Quicken Simplifi.
For the balance issue with the credit card you connected to Capital One, or any other issues you experience with the new connection, I'd recommend creating an individual post for each issue. This will allow us to work on each issue accordingly and track how many other users, if any, experience the same issue.
For the Discover account that is showing "Account Disconnected", I'd recommend making the account manual and then trying to re-link it. You can try Discover and Capital One to see if either works. Here are the steps to follow:
However, as mentioned above, the account may need to be migrated to Capital One first. Please let us know how things go!
After the computers shook hands last night the Discover Credit card is almost back to normal. We'll give it another day or 2.
Correct, the Bank portion hasn't been ported over yet. I think I'm going to hold off doing the Manual operation for now. I'll adjust for the Net Worth as required until things settle down. In the mean time I'll avoid spending the extra 225% cash in my Discover Money Market :)
Thanks…
