Can I flag a reminder?

I cannot find an effective way to flag a reminder.

The reason I would like to do this is so I know I have set up an on-line payment for the reminder. Suppose it is the 1st of the month and I have a reminder to pay a bill on the 22nd, and I also have a statement from the financial institution. Now, I want to set up an on-line payment on the 22nd of the same month. Currently, I must keep track of which payments I have set for payment on a separate calendar. Otherwise, how do I verify I have set the advanced on-line payment several days or a week from now when I go back to Simplifi. Log into the institution each time? If I could flag the reminder as “Set Up”, A date or color, I would know immediately that I have this payment or deposit set up and I can move on.

I struggle with this too. My work around has been to do as Coach Natalie said. I mark it as paid with today's date, but then I add the day it's scheduled to actually be paid in the Check No. field, such as"Sch 8/31". It lets me know it's taken care of and I can see at a glance when I scheduled it to be paid.

The negative side of this is that sometimes it shows my balance w/ pending as negative, but I know it really isn't, because I know I will more income before it's scheduled to be paid. 🤷‍♀️ Not great, but it works for now till they can get this fixed.

There’s already an Idea Post for this, but after multiple searches, I can’t find it.

A workaround one used is adding a letter to the start  of the name of the Recurring Series.

Example:

* M - Payee Name #1 (used for manual transactions)
* A - Payee Name #2 (used for transactions that will happen automatically because I scheduled them with the bank.

The one downside is that you have to ensure there’s three places match: The transaction’s Payee Name Field, the renaming rules, and the Payee saved in the Recurring Series.

I suspect this is whatwhat you’re ultimately looking for.

I'm not seeing a way to add a flag to a reminder; this feature seems to be limited to actual transactions. If you'd like to request the ability to add flags to reminders, I'd recommend creating an Idea post so other users can vote on it, and our product team can review it. In the meantime, you can mark a reminder as "paid", which will enter it into the register with today's date. This will add a "Paid" stamp to the reminder in the Spending Plan, so you know it's scheduled for payment.  The only caveat is that once you change the created transaction to a future date (to reflect the actual payment date), the reminder becomes "upcoming" again. You can leave them in the 'Pending' section at the top of your register, though, so they match to the downloaded transaction when the payment occurs.
