Ability to have all-in-one Space per user and allow multiple Personal Entities

Currently you split your spaces to be able to invite other users to that space. This makes the personal entity redundant since you have one in each space. it is also a pain switching between spaces.

Instead, I propose having one "All-in-one" or Hub Space where you can view and control everything you have access to.

Instead, of having to invite members per space. you would invite them per entity. you can then manage their access control to any combination of read, write and/or execute. (view only, modify transactions, and execute transfers.

You can also add multiple personal entities to be able to separate your household and personal expenses.

This would be game changing!!

Very interesting suggestion. How do you envision this working in practice?

Currently Spaces are essentially separate databases, with each having its own accounts, transactions, reminders, categories, tags, memorized reports, and spending plan.

How do you propose that these things be divided up by "entity"? For example:

Will each entity have a completely separate set?
Or will they share certain things like categories and tags?
Will the "Hub Space" just be the sum of all of the "entities"?
If so how will similar categories and tags be reconciled in the Hub Space?

Yes, very interesting idea. For clarification, which of these is closest to your vision?

The Hub is a switchboard of sorts. It’s a more centrally located page with boxes directing you to the individual spaces. It’s really nothing else.
The Hub shows ALL the financial transactions in one place. Sorta like Gmails ‘All Inboxes’ idea.
The HUB shows maybe one or two summary charts for each space. To see the details, you have to enter the space.

Each entity has it's own accounts transactions, categories. at the user level you can select the privacy of each. only by you or by users of each entity for example. at the entity level, all entity users have access.
I say get rid of spaces completely. if you have this since there will be no need to switch between them. it will be kind of like a sum of all entities.
you can likely append combine public categories and tags, etc. from all users.
where i find this becoming difficult it at the categorization level. since bookkeeping is usually for tax optimization, on the business side of categorization you can have an immutable but extendable set of categories (maybe 5 levels max instead of the current 3) optimized for this (i.e attatches/builds automatic IRS and state schedules.). I created an idea for this which may or may not be clear.

you can also have both that immutable but level extendable set that is shared between users and a custom set that users can append to that set. ideally One set of categories are enough for all entities but i know i myself like to extend those categories for clarification.

@Flopbot's description of a Hub as a collector of accounts and transactions from a group of Spaces sounds simpler, although a method would still have to be found to represent categories and tags that vary from Space to Space.

Also, although I have not tried it myself, I think it may be that the same account can be added to more than one Space — introducing another complication where the same transaction is categorized in different ways.
